Meh if he's a conservative player he'll have AA every time, you'll be 37% vs his range, and need 36%. In that case it doesn't matter much whether you fold or not.

You should have made it 45 instead of 75 in the first place, though.

In hindsight, I think I shouldn’t have raised.

Going from $25 to $45 accomplishes nothing w this crowd. It wouldn’t sway anyone from calling who had a decent hand.

And yes, tho I had an ace in my hand, I was thinking I was flipping at best.

Will I get in trouble for talking bout poker in H&F?

In PLO I can always find a reason to call but I’m trying to be more selective w calling.

I had Q-10-10-9 rainbow and called a $15 raise w about $550. 3 players

Flop is Q-J-10

First player checks, 2nd player checks

There’s about $50 in the pot and I bet $25 w my set.

Player 1 raises pot, player 2 considers it and calls.

I know player 1 has a straight. If player 2 didn’t call, I might’ve, but w bottom set what can I beat? I do also have straight possibilities but as I said I think player 1 is there.

Grrrr I folded.

Player 1 had AK for broadway. Player 2 had JJ for a set of jacks. Board didn’t pair and player 1 who had about $175 doubled up.

Hard to believe that a raise to 22.5bb wouldn't isolate in a 1/2/5 game.

Edit: how can someone make a blind raise that exceeds pot anyway?

This was 1/3PLO and they are crazy mofos. It gets really big really fast.

So 1/3 blinds, $5 straddle, he can raise to $15 (5x3) plus both blinds which are rounded up to $5 ea.

Raising to $45 would get the same results as calling $25, as it wouldn’t deter any more than $25.

Next orbit same thing: $5 straddle, $25 blind bet and action’s on me.
A-Q-10-9 double sooted.

I have $300 effective, Ray has lost a bunch of hands and has less.

I raise to $75 hoping to isolate him, assuming my hand is better than his random hand.

1 seat raises to $225. ****!

Ray folds. (He so would’ve called me)

Action’s on me.

Seat 1 is tight and has about $3,000.

In hindsight I think jamming all in is the correct move but I was on my second buyin and a little shell shocked so I folded.

Folded face up and had to listen to the dealer admonish me for 5 min on what a bad fold I made.
$225 stack left in a game with a fish to my right and a 3k stack to his right, I am making this call with your hand. You could be ahead. A 3k stack in that game doesn’t get built only playing nuts. If it’s a flip you still have slight odds to call, and you aren’t risking a large stack. If you’re behind and don’t win you are still seated in great position in a good game. I want to build a stack seated in this spot.Call.

Below is yesterday’s food. Calories under 1,000 and protein under 100.

One significant diff is I’m out of sardines (among other things) and need to go grocery shopping. Sardines are an easy way to pump up the protein.

Went to the gym last night. Did shoulder and lower body stuff but still haven’t deadlifted. Also did 1 hour of Zumba, foam rolling, stretching, sauna.

My left thumb is feeling much better. I followed the link on pressure points/massage that Cha left here. Ty Cha! Good stuff.

Carol Channing died. It’s sad. Why? Cuz I had her in my dead pool then I switched from her to Doris Day, dammit!

Happy Friday!

Let's do a quick recap of the week.

Sat, Sun, Mon, Tues, - worked out all days, cardio for 1 hr plus strength training, plus hit 10K steps daily.

Wed & Thurs - skipped working out both days. Steps were 6.7K & 7K respectively.

Today - In work now, no poker tonight *sob* so I'll hit the gym tonight. Unsure what I'll do, but if there's a spot available I may try some dead lifts. Maybe.

Saturday (tomorrow) my plan is 30 min cardio, 1 hr aqua fit, 1 hour strength training, sauna, collapse.

Sunday - if weather allows, zumba at 11am. It's supposed to be snowy. 6-8 inches

Food has been on the money though protein has been at the low 100's vs 120's.

Hmmm well I’ll try to post better here.

It’s 8:45pm in Saturday night and I’m snuggled up in bed. There was supposed to be a snow storm tonight but I think it was all hype.

Saturday morning:
1 hr aquafit
Overhead Press
Biceps curls
Lateral lifts
Negative chins
Other shiat
Sauna

In addition there’s my daily walking.

Some days better than others but they average 8.7k daily steps for the week. I’m shooting for 10k but w the cold weather, I think I did good.

Food logs to come. I bought some protein shakes for a daily protein boost starting tomorrow.

Brrr it’s effing cold out. Been hitting the gym every day and doing weight lifting, Zumba, treadmill, aquafit, yoga & sauna to summarize.

I hit some PRs this weekend.

Leg press 180lbs!
Overhead Press 55lbs!
Legit pushups 4!

I still need a new program, instead of doing this & that but I’ll get there.

I’ve been doctoring up protein shakes and have finally made one that tastes damn good.

I also made some low-fat broccoli & pea soup that was delish but I didn’t think to snap a pic.

Below is low-fat chicken pot pie filling w high fat crust, and me at the gym yesterday.

Looks like I haven't posted here in over a week! Well we gotta rectify this situation asap. Here's what's been going on.

Still hitting the gym consistently, 5-6 days per week. Doing a lot more cardio and less powerlifting. Unsure why. Still doing some squats, BP, OHP and arm shiat but not balls to the wall WIM like before. I've been using my balls to the WIM on cardio.

Doing cardio 5-6 days per week, plus consistently logging in 10K+ steps per day. Cardio is swimming, aqua fit, zumba, spinning and I've started a new salsa lesson plan - every Tuesday night for 1 hour.

Didn't make a conscious decision to make this change, it just happened based on what I've felt like doing. I'm thinking of this as the reverse of when peeps take a break from lifting to eat like a horse.

Have I lost weight? Does the Pope have balls?

Yes!

I had been in the 125-127 lb range for what seems like forever.

For over a week I've been in the 120-121 lb range. I think Mama is in a new range! I think the plan is to stay at the weight but resume lifting heavy to maintain/increase mah muscles.

Muscles are visible and defined! Esp my back, shoulders, arms, and if you look really closely perhaps a tiny bit in the torso. I think this is more from weight loss than muscle gains though.

Getting comments that I'm skin and bones even though my legs are still their puffy selves.

So that's where I'm at.

I took a moment to write this in work, while most of the firm is at the Patriots Parade. I love the Patriots but no I don't wanna get crushed by crowds so I can catch a glimpse of the champs. I'm too lazy for that shiat.

Look who's back again!

Yes, the ***** is back! Here's what I've been up to health-wise.

I went from going gangbusters at lifting heavy, and somehow started adding more and more cardio. It' got me a little slimmer I think, and showed off the muscled I'd built via WIM.

I've been consistently going to the gym 5 days per week, not logging much about it, and consistently doing less and less lifting while doing more and more cardio.

I feel very meh. Not strong like I used to, not as full of energy as I used to and muscles are still there but not quite as defined.

The good news is I made it through the winter, my hardest time for fitness, without gaining weight, eating well enough and staying active.

I averaged 8-10k steps every day for Dec, Jan, and Feb, while also swimming 1-2 days per week and lifting a couple of days per week. Not increasing the weights much anymore but trying to stay where i was.

Meh.

I'm ready to jump back in to lifting and I think it's going to be better because I've been working on my form and know slightly wtf I'm doing.

For the last couple of weeks I was contemplating coming on here and asking for advice on how to get a new program. Thank you Renton for the previous one! However, I thin I'm going to do the Gorilla Program.

There's an outline of what G4S does on his thread, along with a jaw dropping photo. Dear God that man is built. Holy moly! He ain't eye candy, he's an Eye Candy Store! And Mama's window shopping!

Gorilla Program it is!

Foodwise, I've been slacking on my protein. First step being stopping the logging of it. If I don't know how little protein I'm eating, I don't have to concern myself with it. So yeah, been keeping my head in the sand with regard to protein.

Other than that, I'm doing pretty consistently well foodwise. Had a couple treats over the past month or 2 but nothing crazy and nothing that resulted in a gain.

After not drinking for probably 8 months, I had a drink while playing poker, and then got **** faced drunk at a st paddy's party. Blah, but I puked it all up so no weight gain.

I know this is a long post. Grrrrrrilla Program starts on Saturday.

G4S you're so hottttt, hot damn, call the po-lice and the fireman!

Anyhow, if going for cardio also, then GermanGuy probably can help. And of course loco.
