Re: Josie 2.0

Thanks guys!

Beeschnuts, lol yes will increase weight tomorrow.

I was able to shoot back the protein in a couple min. Excellent suggestion Renton! I hava some oldish protein powder in the house which I used. I have packets of them and they're fruit flavored. Pretty decent. I have syntrax green apple.

This notation is a bit clearer/easier to understand (sets x reps x weight):

Abs: 2x12x50, 20x50

Dinner looks tasty!

Re: Josie 2.0

if you like that greek dinner above, you should try this greek salad. not normally a big salad person but my wife and I both love it and make it often, especially when cutting.

1.5-2 lbs chicken (boiled and shredded)
1-2 bags of romaine
package of cherry tomatoes
small container of crumbled feta
can of garbanzo beans
I don't like olives so I don't add them but it calls for them if u like them
dressing is homemade:
1/2 cup olive oil
3 table spoons lemon juice
1 spoonful each of oregano, mint and parsley
salt and pepper

this makes a lot, enough for 3-4 people so if its just for you i'd use a lot less of everything.

Re: Josie 2.0

Thanks Bees,

That is a great idea. Recipe looks fabulous. I wouldn't have thought of adding garbanzo beans. More protein FTW. I will def make a smaller portion.

Also I assume boiled chicken is healthier than those rotisserie chickens that are already cooked at the deli.

Does anyone know if those precooked chickens should be avoided? Thanks!

Re: Josie 2.0

you don't have to boil it, you could pan fry or cook it in oven and then shred or cut into chucks. rotisserie chickens are gonna be a little higher in fat and calories with the skin and darker meat. if your not eating the skin and mostly just pulling out the white, leaner meat its prob not much different that regular chicken

Boiled is okay with me, though I'll probably poach it. I wasn't asking because of taste but for time-saving.

Thanks!

Monday, 5/1/17

Calories 1148
Protein 102g
Fat 43g
Carbs 98g

Well, I was lucky to get to 102grams of protein. Only got that much in because I did the Renton shooter. Did it before a meeting in work this morning, and mid meeting I thought it was going to make a reappearance! Blah, but I prevailed. Tmi? Lol

My carbs are higher than they had been for the past week. I know this is because it was a 3 fruit day; 2 apples and 1 piece of watermelon. At least they're healthy carbs.

I'm attaching tonight's workout. I tried the bike tonight after weights just to see which cardio I enjoy more. This was fine, especially because there was a tv right in front of my bike w the Red Sox game on. Score! (Except they lost. Boo.)

I've increased weights on a couple of the exercises which pleases me but ****, my arms are tired.

Damn if the whey is giving you that much stomach trouble, maybe you should switch to soy or something.

Hmmm good point.

I'm been taking it with (right before) my brekkie. breakfast is big anyway, and I feel like the contentrated protein of the shooter expands in my tummy. So gonna take it between breakfast and lunch and boo, I just realized that means now.

And the nausea only lasts a couple minutes and it's not as bad as the consumption of the darn thing.

Take it after your meal imo. Or even in between meals, preferably during your largest gap between meals.

Re: Josie 2.0

I'm lactose intolerant. Isopure whey is way easier to digest than any other whey I have tried.

Soy protein is terrible in so many ways....

1. Mine is whey protein isolate.
2. I'm such a Luddite idiot. See photo. This shiat comes in small indivd packets, that I thought were single servings. See the 23g protein I circled? That's for 1/4 of packet, not the whole ****ing thing! So maybe I wouldn't feel queasy if I didn't down 4servings at once along w breakfast. Omfg

I've tried about 10 different whey protein isolates. Isopure gives me less trouble than any of the others and its not even close on all but one. Now brand is close to as good as Isopure. The rest all cause bad problems for me.

Okay, that's good enough for me. I'll get me some.

This looks like chicken for ants. Up da dose and you can drop the protein supplementation.

Protein from supplements so overrated when you dieting. MOAR meat the way to go unless you a poor.

The sauce in this recipe is pretty elite:

http://www.seriouseats.com/recipes/2...ri-recipe.html

Generally I double everything but the oil and it's still quite tasty without being quite as much of a calorie bomb.

It has sea salt and a drizzle of olive oil. I was going to put some balsamic vinaigrette on it, but got too busy in work and just downed it. I love all of those toppings, and should bring some in to work. ty

Okay Mister! That's a whole 3.2 ounces, but I'm going to go wild and have 6 oz for dinner! WITH some Guy's sugar free bbq sauce that I happen to have at home. I think it's Guy Fieri's.

OMG I'd eat a shoe with chimichurri sauce on it, but have never made chimichurri, nor tried basil chimichurri. God, you're killing me. I guess I need to go back to Trader Joe's for basil!
