Saw this on instagram, this illustrates the importance of being accurate with stuff like nuts pretty well.

Thanks 27o! Almost skipped the gym last night but I'm glad I didn't. Finally joining a gym was key for me.

Yeah, that really hits home.

First of all, I did have a handful of cashews in work yesterday and didn't even log it. Second of all, not sure which pic represents the handful I had but think it was something in the middle.

The only food I've really been weighing is meat, as I want my protein to be as accurate as possible but yeah nuts/seeds def a slipper slope.

Very good point. Nuts like cashews are good for you. They are nutrient rich and they contain good fat, but they are calorie dense, so if you need to watch calories, you should be very careful about how much of them you eat.

Had a baaaaad experience at the gym tonight. Josie 2.0

I'd finished the first half of my workout and went into the ladies locker room to change into my swim suit to swim some laps. My gym bag was locked in a locker so I put down my phone and iced coffee to open the lock.

In fact, I've re-enacted it for you and took a pic. In the pic below my bathing cap represents my phone...and the open locker is mine.

So I put my phone and iced coffee down on the bench and turn to work the lock. I hear someone behind me, I turn around to see a woman picking up my phone and quickly sliding it into her pocket without even glancing at it. Time turns almost into slow motion as I'm processing my phone being in her hand and starting its descent into her pocket.

"That's my phone!!!!!! You took my phone"

Villain: Oh I thought it was mine. It looks like mine, as she hands it to me.

Such a ****ing liar.

Me: Really? It looks like your phone? You weren't stealing mine?

Villain: Really! I thought it was mine. Looks just like it.

Me: let's see your phone then! Show me how it looks like mine!!!!!

Villain: um, I don't know where it is. I think I lost it.

Me: you're a thief and you shouldn't be in this gym. I'm going to talk to the manager!

Then she started crying.

She picked up her stuff and holds one item out to me; a tiny jacket, and says it's her daughters jacket. She tells me she just got custody of her daughter back. If I say anything and she gets in trouble cps will take her kid away again and starts begging me not to say anything....with a lot of crying.

The whole thing is freaky! I just want to workout and be left the **** alone. I do not want to deal with crying Hispanic woman so I tell her I won't say anything...really just to stop her water works....then boom she's gone. She Ran off with her stuff.

So I start getting changed for a swim but I was bothered. I should've gone directly to front desk but I told her I wouldn't say anything. Obv I shouldn't have.

I was just sitting on the pool steps thinking what should I do? I'm a person of my word but **** that ****.

That kid/custody shiat was a sob story, I know, though it may have a kernel of truth. I'm thinking they'll just ban her from facility, as they should. I mean I didn't leave phone unattended, I just put it down for a second. I should have a level of comfort that I'm able to do that, and so should everyone else.

So I went back on my word, went to the front desk and told them what happened. Kid was slightly sympathetic but even less so when I confirmed that nothing was actually stolen.

Grrrrrr

I was told the manager would be coming in tomorrow at 11am so I'm going to call her.

I obv don't know the villains name but I'd think they could figure it out. The kid on duty didn't seem interested in helping tho.

I dunno, it creeped me the **** out. I guess I'm going to try one of those armband phone holders, but I have an iPhone 6plus....might be like strapping a tv to my arm but I need my phone when I work out! I need my music and I like to note what I've done.

Josie 2.0

I don't even know if I should bother calling tomorrow. We'll see.

I could not finish working out. Workout wasn't great before incident either. I'll post workout and food details tomorrow.

All you're going to get is lip service, I wouldn't bother.

Fool's errand imo.

Ugggh, **** that woman! You can't let the crying show get to you. I know how hard it is. Had a woman crying to me that she needed money and could she buy my groceries with her food stamps and another woman that hit me and didn't have insurance crying not to call the cops. They just try to take advantage of your kindness, **** that. Maybe she would have had custody of her kid if she wasn't a thieving hooker in the first play, **** her. If you see her in the gym again report her.

Arm bands are kind of a pain if you need access to the phone. I have an elasticky belt with zip pockets for phone & keys that's much better for running/checking who messaged.

You could also just keep your phone in a tripod that you carry around and point at your exercise station, like a normal person.

Ohhh an elasticky belt is a great idea! Yeah I want to be able to have easy access to the phone. Amazon must have something like that. Imma check.

I actually want to video my squats but it's always so busy there, I'd feel like SUCH a conceited dork videoing 25lb squats.

Yeah, yeah, yeah, point taken.

27, how you doing? Are you doing a cut calorie-wise or just taking a break, maintaining? What's going on?

**** that thieving *****. The tears are either an act. Even if some of what she said is true, that doesn't give her the right to steal your property. She is fully deserving of her situation. She is obviously a thief. Tell the manager imo.

You're not expecting something like that so when it happens it's tough to really think clearly and assess the situation in those few seconds. Next time someone tries to pull that you'll be ready and beat them to a bloody pulp with a 20lb plate; this time, at least you get a cool story out of it and you still have your phone.

Wednesday, May 31st:

First of all, it's the end of our fiscal year in work and I've been going non-stop, working late, going to gym, going home to bed and grabbing food but not cooking meals. Baaaaad. I know it's a slippery slope. I need to go grocery shopping but don't see how I can. Working late tonight, then visit to rehab ctr w sister. So Thursday is no grocery shopping and skipping the gym.

And tomorrow's Friday. If the PLO game goes, I'm playing, which will mean not time for grocery shopping or gym, 2 days in a row. Ack! But I ain't here to talk about Thurs or Fri yet, it's Wednesday (yesterday) that I'm recapping.

Calories 993
Protein 79g
Fat 47g
Carbs 74

Have I mentioned that I'm ****ing sick of chicken? That's what I had for lunch and dinner yesterday. I remembered my tuna today, thank god. Hope I don't get mercury poisoning. lol jk Pics of meals and MFP logs to follow.

Workout was sub-par.

Goblet Squats
3x10x25lbs
1x24x25 lbs
They went okay. I've been finding myself leaning forward when getting into the squat so I was focused on correcting this. I did correct it a bit, but couldn't go quite deep enough imo. Imma keep on working on it.

Planks
3x51 seconds
1x66 seconds

Elliptical
Level 4, 10 minutes - Yes, only 10 ****ing minutes. Dunno why...I was struggling for the last minute too before I through in the towel.

Bike w random hills, 40 minutes

I was going to swim laps as well, but ended up not. Also ended up not doing the farmer's walk. I've been doing them every day and thought to give my arms a rest, but now I see they'll be getting a multi-day rest.

Yes, exactly. Hard to deal with a woman in tears but I don't want a thief at the gym!

Annnnnd my boss just stopped by to ask a question AND TOOK A PIECE OF MY APPLE OFF OF MY PLATE AND ATE IT.

Without asking.

His fingers on my food.

Yes, I know I'm speaking in sentence fragments, I'm just horrified.

Annnd he just stopped by again to say and I quote "Know what you didn't do yesterday? blah blah blah." Omfg I'm going to shank him. I worked LATE yesterday, that's what I did, and I was thinking i didn't leave anything undone, but he was right.

Isn't over $250 grand larceny? That's a pretty serious charge iirc.
