Monday, Memorial Day

Poker:
Donked out of my tourney after 6.5 hrs of play. Out 47th, 25 itm, and no I wasn't short stacked either. I'd been playing great for hours, trying not to be impatient and liked my table. Knew exactly how everyone played. Then I lost 3 hands in a row that I played. Lost w AQ, AJ, & 99 which made me tilty I think.

Then I get AA. Couple limpers and I raise it up. Tight guy to my left reraises, calling station calls, and then it's to me. I could just call here but I jam all in w 80k on top. Tight guy has slightly more than me and I know he won't call me but calling station will.

WRONG!

They both call! Holy fawk! I'm counting the chips I'd have already. I'm up against AK & 10/10. I really didn't expect or want 2 callers but I like what I'm up against.

Flop k-4-6, turn is a K...I was hoping to hit a one outer, an ace on the riv but nope. Gg Josie. I enjoyed playing tho and I think if I weren't tilty from losing the last 3 hands I'd played I wouldn't have jammed all in. It didn't need to get that big.

Food was good today despite a ****ty lunch at poker room. By "****ty" I mean cheese and sunflowers seeds, but I had chicken both in breakfast and dinner so 101 G protein! had edamame w dinner which helped.

Yeah I mean I'm no professional tournament player or anything, but beating yourself up for losing AA vs AK + TT preflop seems.. very strange? Literally seems like a wet dream.

I know, but I didn't have to jump from a 12k raise to 80k. In my head the nit folds and I'm counting the calling stations chips.

When's the last time you played live poker? Huh punk?

Also you were right about my grip. It was w farmers walk. I was using my palms. Made a little adjustment and much better. Thank you!

Mother ****er! This is why I post my food.

I thought it seemed low. Now that I think about it, It was a pack of shelled sunflower seeds and I'm pretty sure the whole package was 540 calories and I didn't eat the whole thing. I have the remaining package and seeds at home. I'll check it out tonight and adjust accordingly. I *think* I ate about 2/3 of it though.

Seeds and nuts are generally abysmal diet food, fyi. Very high calorie density and low satiety. I might even go so far as to say that a snickers bar out of a vending machine is more satiating than a bag of cashews (with roughly equal calories).

Believe me, they weren't chosen for satiety, more for convenience and because they are relatively low in carbs. Quick and easy to eat at the table etc.

Way too much sugar in a snickers bar, Sugar and not natural sugar like an apple so no thank you to the candy bar.

A snickers bar would make me want to eat more. Sunflower seeds not so much. I get that for you snickers bars are more satisfying, they definitely have more bulk, but I find they open a door I like to keep shut.

Last time I played there I had the chicken fingers, remember? They also have a crudite plate that is served with hummus. I've gotten that many a time and will be my choice on Friday.

When we were driving up I told my buddy there would be no bad foods for me at the poker room. His immediate resposne "Oh no fries this time?" That bastard does an hour on the elliptical too, or takes a little 2 hour walk.

Yep, I'd been getting the fries there once in a while - but not in quite a while!

I found the sunflower seeds! Entire bag is 84 grams and I'm estimating I ate 3/4 of the bag. Looks to me like 1/4 is remaining, plus I spilled them more than once. Josie 2.0

Monday 5/30/17

Food:
Calories 959
Protein 93g
Fat 50g
Carbs 45g

Big breakfast, medium lunch and small dinner. See end of post for mfp logs. Dinner was def lacking protein but I'm officially sick of chicken. And eggs. Guess that means tuna for lunch tomorrow!

2 hour weight session that started w 4 sets of goblet squats, and the last set was 24 squats! So after I'm squatting and parallel do I "pop" back up or slowly rise up? Does it matter?

Also did 4 sets of planks and last one was over a minute.

See below for more details. I feel pumped. My arms feel more muscly than they look. Lol oh well.

If you have a package with a barcode you could scan it with your phone in mfp so you get the exact nutritional info. Or just compare what you input to the info on the package. Especially with nuts and other calorie dense foods it's really important to be accurate. ~200kcal difference right there.

With squats just stand back up as quickly as you can. More force production = more muscle fibers recruited, which is better.
