I don't think you need to worry about criticism regarding drinking good booze in this neighborhood, but they probably prefer it be scotch or bourbon with tasting notes. To be honest I can never tell if they're discussing that or beer.

Ha, no to scotch, bourbon and floor beer.

I've only had scotch once in my life and I blacked out. It was at a office holiday party 10 years ago. After hours of drinking the owner pulled out some aged scotch from his desk for us all to do shots. I remember joining in and also kind of remember puking in a recycle bin while the owner held my hair back.

Don't remember much after that.

Tonight will either be a nice martini or 2 glasses of good wine.

And actually, I picked the food for tonight's get together, based on what a bunch of young architects would enjoy, not necessarily what I'd want but there's good stuff to choose. Here it is below.

Corn chips & salsa
Hummus with veggies & pita
Fresh seasonal fruits
Vegetarian stuffed mushrooms
Mozzarella, tomato, basil
Chicken Satay
Steak & cheese arancini
burger sliders
platter of fries
dessert special

So I could make a plate of chicken satay, veggies and fruit.

Then again I could have burgers, fries, chips...but I most assuredly will not. My extra calories will come from booze. I have no desire to drink booze, but when I start, it doesn't usually end with one.

Just noticed I didn't post yesterday's intake. It was low because I didn't have time to eat. I'll post it in a bit from tapatalk so I can post pics with it.

I worked out yesterday. Though it was a rest day, I did upper body 2 days in a row, plus the bike for 20 min and swam 10 laps. I really babied my knee and I'm glad I did. Today it feels so so much better. Tonight is no gym so a little more knee rest and then I'm back in action on Thursday!

Are you ready for some fattie pics? Wanna see what another circa 80 lbs looks like on someone short? I'll post a couple through tapatalk though I should probably do it as a spoiler cuz um, it ain't pretty. Anyone know how to do a spoiler through tapatalk?

Josie, you look amazing now. You should post before and after pics side by side so that we can see the transformation.

Thanks! I can do that, but i'm not at 'after' yet. I kinda stopped for a couple of months at 'good enough'.

I mean compared to was it's more than good enough but I got complacent.

It was reading about you on 2+2 and then others on H&F that made me think, why am I settling for good enough when I can keep going?

Okay here we have some Before pics and some almost there pics.
1st pic, about 18 months ago. I was head of a gingerbread house competition (dec 2015) and was so debilitated by my weight/ health issues I was having difficulty standing, and you have to stand to make a gingerbread house.
This is a professional photo for work and believe it or not, it was flattering compared to the other proofs I had to choose from.

Here are some progress pics:

This last pic was from at the gym last week.

Josie,

Also, your couple month "pause" you wrote about somewhere where you stopped at a "good enough" point is going to help you succeed in your longer-term ripped goals. A period like that helps you reinforce lifestyle changes and make them into normal habits, rather than continually making the extra effort of "being on a diet" etc. So now, on your next stage, you're just making relatively small improvements/adjustments to an already solid normal day to day habits. Keep kicking ass!

I never thought of it that way, thanks. I've been kicking myself for wasting time but you're right. I was keeping established habits.

I am behind in posting my food so below is a quick recap. It's been a crazy busy couple of days will little time home except for sleeping.

Numbers are low. I wasn't eating food I prepared myself so I was being cautious.

Tuesday 5/16/17:
Calories 1084
Protein 93 g
Fat 47 g
Carbs 72 g

Wedesday 5/17/17:
Calories 1147
Protein 42 g
Fat 37 g
Carbs 112 g <---Ketel one vodka

Didn't eat much for dinner last night, just some veggies, hummus, salami and Ketel one which is why my protein is down.

Yesterday I skipped the gym completely also. I went from work to work event to hospital to home. (ate that salami at about 11pm)

My sis sent me a message this morning saying that she and her bf appreciated the visit and it lifted his spirits. (I'm a spirit lifter natch)

So, as I type this I'm on the horns of a dilemma; go the gym after work like I want to. Knee feels fan****ingtastic btw and it's my lift day! or go from work to hospital which drains the life out of me, but both of them could use the company.

If I do the latter and skip my work out, then we have 2 more options to choose from for Friday;

A.) Skip poker to go to the gym
B.) Get up at 4:30am to make the gym by 5am, work out, go to work, then poker.

Fawk

Keep in mind I skipped poker last week! And of course my buddy texted me to tell me that a certain fish was at the plo table. Grrrrr
