Oh well, I'll see how long I can ride this progress out for. I think as long as I stick to my diet (absurd amounts of protein consumption) remain injury free, continue to WIM as much as I am right now, I'll get pretty damn close to my goals, if I don't make em.

Here is what I did today:

Squat: 245x5x5 (90% of 270 saturday workset)

Notes: Solid here, good volume day squats

Bench: 180x5x5 (90% of 200 saturday workset)

Notes: I actually did 7 reps on my last set, just to see how much I could crush my volume day benching. Boo-yah!

BarBell CURLZZZ: 75x2x10

Notes: Lol, such a great pump though.

Cam Rows: (2)45x2x10

Notes: These will be the secret to all my success imo

KB Push Press 35x2x10

Notes: Easy, I held a 35 KB in each hand and banged em out at the same time

Protein Consumption today: 400g (pwnage)

Quick funny story. As mentioned, I am training my GF, and she is incredibly weak, especially with lower body stuff, so I started her on air squats, and am adding 5 pounds every time until she can do the bar.

Anyway, the 2nd time she squatted I had her holding a 5 pound plate. On her second set I absent minded-ly gave her a 10 pound plate and when she took it she was like 'OMFG THIS IS SO HEAVY WHAT ARE YOU DOING' Lol. 3 workouts later she is holding 2 10 pound plates while squatting with no complaints. Pretty obvious, but still lol to me.

Anyway, Life is good, WIM and all that.

Training girls can be tough. The ones I've worked with have been relatively afraid to actually challenge themselves. They all needed a lot of positive reinforcement and successful reps to even try a heavier weight.

Basically anything my gf did at above 85% she perceived as being 95% to 100%. Microloading, changing things up frequently, and repping out the last set to legitimate failure were all pretty helpful in keeping progress going when she got past the early stages of being a beginner.

I took my gf to do deadlifts one time, worked up to 95 lbs. When she went to do it, the bar would not break off the floor, and she was absolutely convinced she couldn't do it. But it really didn't even look like she was struggling. When she finally got it, it wasn't that bad. Weird mental block going on I guess.

Good question lemme do a quick count:

6 eggs and ham for breakfast: ~ 500 cal, 60p
3 protein shakes: 950 cal, 200p
2 muscle milks: 480 cal, 50p
3 bags jerky: 600 cal, 80p

So like ~2600 cal, give or take

Exactly. My gf couldn't deadlift 88 lbs. So I had her do RDLs starting at the top with 85 lbs (lol). After about 3 months of that with no real progress we went back to deadlifts and she pulled 135 easily, and now like 2 months later she pulls 190.

Isn't this line of reasoning discussed in PPST, and to a lesser extent, BBT? Women are less able to use their accumulated strength in a 1RM effort.

I thought of it as more of an ability to do worksets with a higher % of 1RM but yeah I guess that's the same thing, lol

I'm not sure why you set such low goals, it seems with your WIM you could easily have 3xbw squat w 5xbw DL by August.

Trollers gonna troll

Quick Update:

Squat: 215x2x5

FS: 215x3

Press: 115x2x5

Push Press: 155x3

And lots of Push press 175xfail

I'm going to start doing more push presses because they don't hurt my shoulder. I go sooooo close on th 175, I filmed it maybe I'll upload later. 155 was easy.

PC: 190x2 (2 Singles)

And the gf did: FS 35(KB)x3x5, Bench 55x3x5, and DL (not rack pull any more) 65x5

Anyway, life is good, WIM and all that.

Hmmm. Well today was intensity day on my TM-ish routine. Here is what I did:

Squat: 275x5 (Personal best)

Notes: I was supposed to do 270, but I was feeling good, and felt like breaking a PR. So why not. Felt good.

"Bench: 205x5"

Notes: Sigh. I cheated here, by butt came off the bench on the last 2 or 3 reps. Not happy about it. I shoulda just stuck with 200 but I was feeling greedy.

DL: 330x2

Ugh, disappointing.

My workout started off great and slowly deteriorated from there.

Sigh.

Back to putting funny bits into my form checks (attempting to anyway )

Alright. Simple day today. I was supposed to lift yesterday but by sleep has been eff'd so I pushed it back to today. I think it was a wise decision.

Here is what I did:

Squat: 257.5x5x5 (90% of Saturday 280 5RM Workset)

Notes: Felt pretty solid.

Push press:

155x3

135x5x5

Notes: Going to start push pressing almost entirely instead of regular OHP. It's a lot easier on my eff'd shoulder plus, it;s more weight so it seems cooler. I wasn't sure where to start, 155 was too tough, lol. 135 was a good 5x5 set as it was tough but I didn't come close to failure at all.

Anyway, life is good, WIM and all that.

For some reason I always thought you were french, but after rewatching some of your vids, you just do all kinds of crazy accents. Are you ameritard?

Aussie accent? If so not too bad, although it sounded a little South African at times and English others with hints of American here and there.
