I’m on my phone otherwise I’d post a pic of what tricep extensions are. If you google it it’s the first result. Kind of like a standing skull crusher in reverse I guess. Skull crushers are way too painful for my shoulder in its current condition.

I def want to train tris more but have to be super careful with my shoulder.

Feels good to be getting back into a WIM rhythm. Great workout today. Had to get to the gym because it was raining. Don’t like it in general but I made it work:

Squats are easy, happy with bench. Top set was heavy, final volume set was pretty heavy. As much as I hate coming to the gym, it’s nice to have cables for pain free triceps work. The hammer curls were weird, was expecting to hit 12 for all three sets and it felt like it was gonna happen right up until the final 2 reps. Oh well.

Hahaha didn't even realize it. Didn't catch it at all in any of the places, kept seeing it as tricep. That's how bad my reading comprehension it.

Having a rough go of it. Could barely get out of bed Saturday. Really lethargic today as well but I forced myself to get out and lift even if I had to cut it short.

I’ll tell you what’s really been helping me is some coffee before/during the gym...and trying to remind myself how much happier and better I will feel post session.

Part of me worries that your lethargy is a result of the ridiculously low amount of calories you’re taking in that you think is a good idea...but I am not sure of that.

Anyway, love ya pal...hope it gets much better fast.

Yup, you're right. I actually realized that I was trying to eat way less and drastically cut my caffeine consumption at the same time. That's a recipe for no energy.

I'm kinda at a cross roads. I def need to be eating at a deficit but I also need to scale my caffeine way back and it's just so hard to do both and get anything done.

Had a good weekend last weekend, played my first A Tier DG tourney. 3 days, tee times, the whole deal. Really happy with how I played.

It's a world class course, extremely difficult. To put it this way, after 2 rounds, there was nobody in the field under par in the entire tournament. The rounds took about 5 hours and went up and down the Santa Cruz mountains.

My current rating is 935 which is the recommended minimum for playing in advanced division. My first round was 947 rated, my second round was 966 rated and my final round was 979 rated. I had only played the course about 3 times before so I felt like I got better each trip through. Really happy with how I putt this weekend especially. I actually had a monster round going the final day and took a really tough double bogey on the second to last hole to finish at -2 for the round (easier pin placements the last day). I was a little upset go from -4 to -2 but it happens. I had good breaks earlier in the round so it evens out.

Had a good workout yesterday. My squat keeps going up but my upper body stuff has really stalled out. Busto recommended a reset and said the level of output I was doing was likely hurting recovery and not helping me. So here is what yesterday looked like:

Alright, I'm mixing it up, hence the log title. Obviously.

Basically:

Focus more on a split routine since I think my recovery has been screwy with what I was doing. Bang out a lot of lower body stuff Monday, upper body stuff Tuesday and follow it up with another lift or 2 later in the week.

Also gonna be shooting for 250g protein every day. This has a double benefit of making sure I get enough protein in my diet and making it almost impossible to eat too many calories during the day.

I've been holding strong right around 190 BW (slightly under today) and would love to run this for the next 6 months and see where I'm at. Maybe do a little cut in March/April.

I lifted yesterday, I did:
