Thanks for the recipes.

It was so good, it was a thin crust hawaiian with jalapeno and some funky white cheese that I forgot the name of.

So i nibbled on some leftover breaded calamari from my grad dinner, probably 300-400 calories. Around 800 for the day so far.

I am getting really hungry but dont feel like going to the store and cooking.

I probably can’t **** up too badly but man i want some carbs soooo bad

My top three basic cooks for the week are:

1. Carton of eggs: hard boil 6 and make an "omelet"with the other 6 with with turkey and salsa. Eat 1/3 and refridge the balance.
2. Mash potatoes made with plain yogurt and garlic powder instead of butter and milk. Reheat balance over the week.
3. Marinate chicken breast in pineapple juice for the day and grill. Use pineapple slices with each breast. Reheat during week.

I always have good protein and complex starch to eat when in a hurry during the week or dont want to cook.

Sunday 6/17 log:

Breakfast:

1 Del Taco Egg and Cheese breakfast burrito
400 calories 19g protein

Lunch:

Leftover breaded/fried calamari. This one is hard because I kind of nibbled. i didn't eat it all and there wasn't a ton: I'm erring on the side of more calories, so I'm calling it 450 calories. Probably less than that. 10-15g protein.

Dinner:

Green Giant Steamers Vegetable blend w/ light sauce: 100 calories 1g protein
Chicken: Leg, wing, thigh (small) - 400 calories? ~30g protein. I'll post a pic
2 tbspn honey mustard sauce because I didn't have hot sauce: 90 calories

Total:

1440 calories, ~60g protein.

Probably will eat some more chicken later if i get hungry.

I dont have a dishwasher

Yesterday my girlfriend came over and we walked for an hour and a half. Got el pollo loco and i nibbled on some chicken + a tortilla, some coleslaw, and sweet corn.

No idea the calories. Would be shocked if it was more than 400. I am going to try to make walking for an hour a daily habit. I really enjoy it.

i have a tiny kitchenette that's like maybe 20 square feet, it's extremely difficult to cook in and the sink water pressure sucks. I just don't bother with dishes

I'm stressed out and want to drink after work, going to try to go on an hour walk to kill that urge - if not though, probably some beer cals incoming

doing well today, had a teriyaki bowl for very late breakfast/early lunch, and a handful of peanuts. At 3pm had a turkey breast sandwich, light mayo.

Later, around 7 or 8, I will eat some of the leftover chicken.

Monday 6/18 log:

Breakfast
Frozen Teriyaki bowl - 410 calories, 20g protein
Handful of peanuts - call it 1/4 cup, (not even close) 160 calories, 7g protein


Lunch:
Jimmy John's turkey breast sandwich, light mayo, french bread - 550 calories, 30g protein?

Chicken breast + thigh (with hot sauce) - 450 calories, 71g protein - holy **** that's so much protein.

And this is where it all went wrong:
1 32 oz miller high life - 382 calories - ONE GRAM OF PROTEIN

1 French Bread micro wave pizza ........ 400 calories, 15g protein



Total: 2352 calories, 144 g protein.

Not bad protein, garbage calories. I don't know why I gorge like this. It's beer related, but that's way less than what I usually drink. I think I have an issue. I did walk for 45 minutes though. Might go for another one now.

Positives - I think I'm probably still at a decent deficit, Albeit a smaller one than I want to be.

If I'm going to be this disgusting pig I definitely need to be more active. i think walking and physical activity might balance out what is almost certainly going to be my garbage lack of control.

Peanuts are around 160-180 calories per ounce and notoriously difficult to guesstimate.

Jimmy John's had a calorie calculator where you can click your exact sandwich.

Any thoughts about getting a food scale?

Yea I did the sandwich thing 510 calories + 40 for the mayo

That's a good idea, my next target run I will get one. I need a lot of basic house stuff, it'll be easy to pick one up while I'm there.

Everyone's different but I feel like trying to make too many drastic changes at once increase likelihood of failure. So maybe taper smoking/drinking and plan for lifting in a few months? But just cutting way back on the drinking will help quite a lot with weight loss. Seems like you're off to a good start. GL with your goals.

I love tobacco myself, I am attempting to quit dipping. About 24hrs in my quit atm. I also quit drinking a few years back, it's nice to get to eat more food instead and I don't really miss it at all.

I think only having a quart when you are used to a lot more is something to feel positive about.

If a buzz is what you are after, what about drinking "real" beer instead of <5% hobo liquor? Maybe you get there on fewer calories and volume.

Yea i’m not beating myself up about the alcohol because that was a measured decision that I made and stuck with. I’m mad about the pizza because that was just pure impulse.

Alobar for now I am doing the walking 30 mins+ every day which I think I can stick to because I enjoy it. my fitness is so bad that this gets my heartrate up and reasonably sweaty without totally destroying me like jogging a mile does to me usually even on a good day. I’m not sure that I can do anything else right now. I really hate running.

I am kind of curious which alcohol I can get the most bang for my buck in terms of buzz per calorie, but I’m not sure that’s a road I should go down because it’s probably hard alcohol.
