A pic from my last ski day on Sunday. Just below the summit of Mount Washington.

Meh, 2 bad days in a row. Calories were not horrible but snacking after dinner + bad macros (plus high sodium from garbage prepared stuff) and no exercise.

Got on the scale this morning and was almost plus 3 pounds since Monday morning. Must just be water weight from 2 high sodium days but it's time to reel it in. Both days I skipped breakfast, which seems to be a very bad idea for me. (I realize other people never have breakfast, but it seems important to keeping me compliant with my plan.)

On a positive note, just completed day 73 of logging and compliance with my plan (for the most part) which is 20% of the year. Just need to do it again 4 more times which doesn't seem too hard.

Exercise

Walked about 2 miles (round trip) then jogged 2 mile road race with my daughter.

(It was more like a sprint then walk then sprint then walk because she hasn't quite gotten the concept of going at a slower pace rather than as fast as possible until she needs to rest, rinse and repeat until 2 miles is finished.)

Day 77/365

Nutrition

Brewed 2 batches of beer yesterday (for an upcoming wedding in the family) which kept me busy from 8 am until almost 6 pm. Should have prepared my food ahead of time, because other than breakfast I was eating on the go and ended up with pizza for dinner because I was too wiped out to bother cooking. My fitbit says I walked 6 miles just doing these 2 batches.

Woke up today with a nasty sore throat and all stuffed up. Guess that partially explains why I felt so wiped out last night.

Strange week. Started at 208.2 pounds and weighed as much as 211.6 and as light as 207.2 pounds. (All of these weights first thing in the morning neekid and afraid.)

I have a classic winter type cold. Sucks. Laying around doing schoolwork and not much else. Talked myself into eating ice cream last night.

Day 79/365

Nutrition

Bad day. Felt horrible and didn't feel like cooking. Had a bunch of deli meats and bulkie rolls, chips, potato salad, etc. that were left over from having people at my house on the weekend helping me brew.

Starting to improve today so hopefully I can get some exercise tomorrow.

Day 80/365

Nutrition

Feeling a bit better, but totally washed out and devoid of energy with some lingering body aches. Hopefully be back to normal within a couple of days. I'm going to at least walk for a few miles tomorrow.

So I've had a few days with a bit higher calories (but actually within reasonable estimates of maintenance) and again my weight has jumped 3 pounds since Monday morning. I suppose it's probably water weight shifts from more sodium and carbs, but it pisses me off more than it should.

Thought I was feeling better but actually got worse for a few days. Keeping calories reasonable but eating like crap. Going to consider this something of a re-feed week and get back to healthy meal preps ASAP.

Actually somehow pleased with that considering what a piece of **** I've felt like since last Sunday. I'm guessing as soon as I stop eating so many carbs and so much sodium I'll drop 2 or 3 pounds within a couple of days.

This is the end of month 3 and the end of the first planned cycle (which was for 12 weeks, next cycle is 18 weeks iirc). I'll do an end-of-month update and plan for the next cycle when I feel better.

Well I finally decided to see a doctor yesterday. My cold had almost gone away at the end of last week, then it evolved into a nasty sinus infection. I feel so washed out and devoid of energy at the moment. Pretty much spent the last couple of days flat on my back.

I'm now on a course of antibiotics, so hopefully the end is in sight. I'm still tracking calories and will update the last couple of days later on today or tomorrow.

I've still been logging in my calories in the fitbit webapp but haven't bothered posting them here. Tomorrow morning I'll do my weekly weigh-in and post a summary of last week (average calories/protein/etc.) then pick up again where I left off.

Going to hit the grocery store today and stock up on good stuff and get back on track. Still clearing the sinus infection and hacking up remnants of this nasty cold, so it might be another few days before I start exercising again. But at least I'll be back on track with a healthy diet and get things going in a positive direction again after being stalled for a few weeks.

Whatever I have seems to be fighting back against the antiobiotics and might be winning. Most likely back to the doctors today or tomorrow. Getting frustrated.

Thanks guys.

I got way behind on all my schoolwork from being sick for so long. (I'm actually still not feeling 100% right and might have to go in for further testing. Possibly mono or maybe lyme or else the worlds nastiest cold.) Anyway, I was so buried with schoolwork and feeling like **** that I totally stopped tracking for the last month. Bad time to get sick having 3 accelerated courses this term, but it looks like I'll get everything submitted on time by the end of the term this Sunday. Anyway, even with being sick and busy it's really no excuse to give up.

Was 214 pounds when I got on the scale in the morning a few days ago. I just tried again now and was 219, but I just ate lunch and had two large coffees.

Going to start tracking again today and hopefully will be about 210 or so in a couple of weeks. Then the plan is to start making further progress from there.
