1a) If yes, is it okay to compromise health for income to program computers or be the CEO of a billion-dollar corporation, or is it only okay for professional athletes?

2) What if that elite athlete is at the bottom of elites, scraping by with $50K a year with no hope for a real future in the sport?

3) Are you willing to risk your health to race me at Titus Canyon in >100°?

As for the donk Mary, she didn't menstruate for like 3 years, broke like 5 bones and other stuff, but "muh bmiz!" and lol at comparing a dude with a female.
First three questions, melkersonesque in nature so i will pass. And very irrelavant to the topic at hand, YOUR ultrarunning.

As for women long distance runners, check the science. Loss of menstruation (really bad) and low bone density as the mileage passes 40+ a week. Her doctor father the biggest donk of them all.

In fact, women long distance runners have lower bone density than sedentary women. Ouch. Donk alert.

Invoking the Marlboro Melk excuse... what a copout.

The topic at hand is my running? What's up? Yes, I will push the limits, even if it's possible that I compromise my health. If I die running in a 115° race, then it was a good life and much better ending than how fat people, boozers, smokers, or crackheads die. Different folks; different strokes. Where's your heart, son?

All this and you still compared a male runner to a female runner? You calling 3K runners long-distance runners? Da **** outta here with that ****. The course record for the Moab 240 is held by a female. How's that for a comparison?

5 being the 5 servings of fruits and vegetables recommended per day..

Even peppa pig is brainwashing our kids to be WFPB or at least eat more WFPB

I couldn't tell you what a serving size is, but I can tell you that I eat more fruits and vegetables in a day than you do in a week.

Oh snap!

I’ve never had a vegetable eating pissing contest but here goes last night I gorged myself on sweet potato, salad, chickpeas, tomato, onion, and edimame

I have you all beat, because I eat way more fruits, vegetables and grains if you include eating them indirectly via animals that consume them. My food eats grains by the ton.

Okay, so this is not you trolling, but just tongue-in-cheek comedy then?

In either case, doubtful. Here's a nutrition diary entry I posted some years ago in the vegan/veggie thread in OOT when getting slagged by the bloodmouths on nutrition.

Besides this late night snack, what did you have the rest of the day?

Land since you’re the nutrition expert why don’t you share w us what you eat in a given day week or year?

As for me that was my dinner.

Obviously rich is a “response elicitor”

I never said I am a nutrition expert; I am an expert on what nutrition works best for me and my needs, though.

I guess that euphemism works.

I didn't know I felt threatened by you, so I can't answer this question. Perhaps you can give me a hint?

It was a tongue-in-cheek response to that ridiculous back-and-forth over who eats the most vegetables.

I don't know if anyone has never noticed, but vegans and vegetarians can be a little sensitive at times.

Well ya that’s the whole point we are empaths. We care about other things besides ourselves. Or at least I do.

It’s very narcissistic to not be sensitive and to view sensitivity as a weakness.

I didn't mean that you all are caring (though that's clearly part of the virtue signaling of many vegans / vegetarians). I mean that many of you are overly sensitive when anyone disagrees.

Well it’s not really disagreeing. If you were commenting about actual wfpb diet instead of arguing straw mans we might e convinced you’re not a “response elicitor”.

I welcome and encourage disagreement. Tell me what the optimal diet is im all ears.

Please tell us what you eat that’s optimal. I’m happy to hear from vegans or non vegans, or pure vegetarians, or pescatarians.

I think the optimal diet is up for debate. I think the ethics aren’t though.

I think vegetarian or vegan diet is clearly not the most healthy diet

I won’t argue the ethical side of it because if you believe it’s unethical to eat animals or animal products then ok. Avoid them if that is what your heart tells you

But it’s not the most healthy by any stretch

If it's so clear, then it should be very easy for you to elaborate why.

By definition, ethics are subjective and up for debate. Not debate in terms of deciding who is right and who is wrong, but debate as a means of persuasion. You'd do better trying to persuade instead of declaring victory.

Ok fair enough..

So didace you have a picture of a dog let me ask you:

Do you consider yourself a dog lover?

Are you against animal cruelty?

Do you eat animals?

Does your body need animals to survive?

Do you think there’s a way to kill animals that is not cruel?

Trolling is more about trying to annoy people and get attention. I used humor to express something I genuinely believe. It is very different.

My body needs animal meat to thrive. I believe my lifespan would be reduced by switching to veganism. I also think there’s selective bias in the small percentage of people able to stick to veganism. The vast majority of people who try it utterly fail to get proper nutrition and quit the lifestyle.

Yes.
