Since I left my roommate's place I no longer have access to his Nespresso machine and I don't want to splash out on one, so I bought a hand grinder and started making my coffee by hand with Yunnan beans and this cheap Ikea coffee maker.

It tastes godly and the manual grinding makes me feel nice and hipster, but I feel I should get an upgrade for the Ikea thing. Any advice? Or will it taste the same?

Get anything meant for making pour overs, a scale, and a kettle. I will also settle for French press.

But there are lots of them from cheap plastic ones to nice ceramic ones. I keep one at work that fits on top of a coffee cup. They're kind of like... the manual version of a drip coffee maker. I'm sure there are videos on youtube for people who can't figure out how to pour hot water onto coffee.

French press is fine if you like that. I think it's kind of a mess and I just have a tiny one.
