I liked both, but neither was as compelling as the first season.

I just got the feeling that the writers of season 1 on both spent years perfecting the screenplays prior to it being developed (particularly with Nic Pizzolatto and TD), but didn't really have anything planned for season 2. They should have just waited longer, but I guess that isn't how the business works.

Comparing Fargo S2 and TD S2 is dumb and I'm not gonna read back, but whoever started doing this is arbitrary and dumb and prob voluntarily lives in China.

I only got halfway through fargo s2. I only have 1 episode left of true detective. True Detective had some truly awful moments in the 3rd, 4th, and 5th episodes. But episodes 1 and 7 were quite good! I will finish Fargo after and compare, but so far it's boring as **** gangster stuff.

Solid strat.

Soulcat#1 on top struggled with chronic renal failure since she was 2, died just before turning 14. Sort of glad she got very ill quickly so that there wasn't any doubt about what to do.

True Detective Season 2 Episode 8

Whole series is a ****ing trash fire confirmed. Had a few redemptive moments, but a huge flat flying wtf at this ending roflmao.

Sometimes the sad/bittersweet ending can work well, in the case of a show like Berserk. But nah, this is just a dumb as **** 0 closure characters behaving in erratic fashion inconsistent with how they behaved the previous 7 episodes. It's like they actively tried to send a "**** you" to viewers.

Overall this is a weak 3/10 honestly worse than a typial season of Mr. Monk or Psych or whatever kind of bull**** police procedural detective show.

On a nitty note, maybe you shouldn't be judging fargo s2 when you haven't even finished it? These goat-tier shows are more novelistic experiences than episodic ones.
