My wife's very dry cardiologist (a stoic Eastern European woman who, when asked by my father-in-law essentially immediately after diagnosis if the wifeacore could make a full recovery, shrugged and said "Maybe. Maybe not." -- needless to say I liked her immediately, because there was never any dissembling) refers to the wifeacore's current regimen as "vitamins for the heart" and has also strongly recommended lifelong use. Which she'll obviously be doing absent compelling new medical information otherwise.

She's obviously not in your orbit training-wise, but I was curious if you'd noticed anything. As with most things, new becomes normal pretty quickly, I suppose.

I guess my question would be, 'what is weird?', like what is the actual feeling? For me that 'weird' was just general feeling like ****, which I attributed to the recent events, naturally.

Her cardiologist seems right up my alley with that demeanor. I was actually talking to someone in the gym today, re: medication, and he had mentioned that he had a cardiac episode (not an MI, maybe afib or something), and was put on the standard meds. He took them for a few years, then got lazy, felt ok without them for about a month, til...another episode. So yea, for life seems to be the standard. My doc basically said there are too many pros to the meds to ever stop taking them.

Anyway, my squat workout today averaged at 91bpm, and peaked at 127bpm, but not knowing what it used to be kinda makes that information useless.

I guess I should have been more specific. Today was Leg Ext/Leg Curl/Leg Press. Back needed a squat break for a week.

Sunday - Legs
Monday - Shoulders and light back
Tuesday - Arms and light chest
Thursday - Back and light shoulders
Friday - Chest and light arms

That's the current split.

Probably the best week of training, strength-wise, I've had since the MI. Doubles with 245 on press, triples with 545 on pulls, and 6's with the 135 DB's on flat press. Not strong, but better. I'll take it.

Body a little beat up from the heavier weights though, as expected.

So I've been on a minibulk these past 7 weeks, which will continue until the end of the year. It has gone as expected, and I'll post results when I'm done.

This has basically been my first three meals of the day during that time.

2500kcal (289c/39f/247p). Dinner and a snack (or a bigger kcal day/weekend) gets the average to right around 4000kcal per day. #Nattygains for loco.
