So, here is what I am doing in the gym. One set to failure (failed rep) of each (except as noted), all back to back on machines (except the dumbbell stuff). Minimal warm-up for each, since I am not strong enough to worry about injury yet.
Leg extension
Chest press
Leg curl
Row
Leg press
Overhead press
Pull down
DB sldl (not to failure)
Incline press
Machine crunch
DB lateral raises
DB hammer curl
Press down
DB suitcase carry
Hanging leg raises
Face pulls (not remotely close to failure)
Anyway, I am aware that doing these back to back significantly reduces the reps before I hit failure because I have the conditioning of a premature baby. This is purposeful since I am still feeling significant doms for a couple of days after each workout.
I do sometimes take a break to throw up about halfway through as additional ab work.
Ended up doing 15 minutes on elliptical yesterday. Super light full body workout today plus half an hour light indoor cycling.
I'm feeling pretty exhausted despite doing almost nothing and getting pretty good sleep. Probably have some sort of Victorian Era wasting disease and a touch of polio.
Had a week of training at my new job. Apparently, the actual job will be easier than the training, but pushing around 2000+ lb pallets is a decent workout and I will be doing that from time to time. Fitbit said that I need to settle my ass down and maybe do some light stretching or something. My old decrepit joints agree.
Next week, I train on my actual job, so I'll see what is up with that, I guess.
190.4 this morning. Went for an easy 1 hour-ish hike this morning and then hit the gym for the first time in weeks. Work has been physical enough that I'm ok with that.
Did what has become the typical amount of pushing and pulling 1k to 2k lb pallets around for work a couple days per week, and was able to do add some stretchy band strength work on top of that. So a slight increase in physical output from a month ago.
Going to walk (5 miles round trip) to the gym later today for some additional strength work.
Still not putting any particular effort into diet.
