Got a new fancy dancy Fitbit. Also, probably more importantly, finally felt like repeated bout effect is sufficient to actually go close to failure on some exercises without killing future workouts. I then spent some time lying on the floor with pain / twinges / cramping / possible need of an ambulance. Then I did some
quiet time lying on the floor. I followed that with some old man noises while trying to get up, followed by more lying on the floor.

Also (earlier in the day) ran some to get back to my friends when I got lost on a mountain, which was nice. It wasn't far, but it was nice to run and they (I think) weren't so annoyed that they won't take me to a mountain again.

I feel good.

Ran a very little bit today on a mountain today. Got over 12k steps in total. Didn't eat too much.

Ate/drank too much two days ago. 6035 steps.

Ate ok yesterday. Did a strength workout and ran a little bit. 13,228 total steps.

Heading out for a hike in the mountains shortly. 194 lbs this morning.

Hike yesterday was about 90 minutes on steep terrain and I went pretty damn fast for an old fat man on the way up. Went slow as a lazy fat man on the way back down. Drank a large quantity of wine in the evening and then violently undrank some of the wine and un-ate some food as my ab workout.

Today was spent recovering from both.

It looks like my shoulder can only handle two workouts per week. Since I am hiking hard most days and doing some running, I think one lower body strength workout is probably sufficient.

Fat, at 194lbs?

Looks we have kept the weight reasonably, congrats! I'm at about 82-83kg, not at my best but not a calamity...I'm taking a walk each and every day, that's about it.

Hiked for an hour and a half (easy trail), running (easy pace) for about 15 minutes of it this morning

That is prolly* about 10 lbs too high. I'm more interested in the doing stuff thing right now, so weight is on the back burner.

I am pretty sure that the last time you saw me, I had dropped down to a svelt 225 or so. I'm still pretty sloppy now, but I think you'd be hesitantly impressed with how much less I look like I won't outlast your ancientness.

*I'm a cool kid now, so I misspell things on porpoise. I even wear sunglasses over my reading glasses.

Didn't drink last night. Didn't drink tonight. Didn't eat too much either day. Didn't do much other than pace around a decent amount.

Pretty sore from working out yesterday.

wandering around aimlessly used to be my speciality on a hangover when I was single and kid free. lots of fun. would wander out for a coffee or go to the shops, get completely sidetracked and lose a few hours. decent hangover cure

It isn't a bad strategy, but I fizzle out after a few days and can't day drink very well anymore.

Ate two breakfasts, two lunches and one dinner yesterday and got some important work-related stuff done. Didn't drink. Was 192.4 in the morning.

Have some more work-related stuff to do and then packing to see my kid in Colorado this weekend for a wedding celebration thingamajig. They eloped last year. Hoping to get up in the mountains for at least a little bit later today and then fly out tomorrow. Probably going to do some drinking tonight if I get everything done that I am supposed to today.

The weekend should have decent opportunities to wander around in different mountains and definitely will have opportunities for drinking.

Walk/run on mountain trails this evening. 26 minutes in cardio zone according to Fitbit. 46 minutes total.

Also 0.25 mile suitcase walk with a 12 pack of beer.

Also, Bellagio lunch buffet.

Ok. So I ate with 2 of the founders of the 2+2 forums (mat and Mason). Mason bought the meal.

I was actually good for the most part. Shrimp, tuna poke, dim sum, gyoza, cheese blintzes, crepes, blueberry compote, sesame chicken (twice) and some sort of apple thing, and one blackberry, and one fried thing that I thought was a crab cake that I am not sure what it actually was because it didn't have crab in it.

I was, of course, showing off my massive self-control.
