Just bought a new scale and it seems that I now weigh 224 lbs. and am floppy. At 6'0" and 49yo, this is not ideal.

IANAD, but my suspicion is that this is because I eat too much and haven't been exercising.

I'll start logging my food and exercise. I'm generally limited to prepared foods, walking, bodyweight and dumbell work.

Sounds like the first mistake was buying the scale. If you didn't do that, you wouldn't be fat.

Why are you limited to prepared food? Like you can't eat an apple or banana, only cooked foods?

I can also eat foods that don't require a kitchen. I do have a tiny fridge and microwave. Thanks for making me clarify.

Longer term, 175. Not sure, but I think that is realistic. I haven't been that light in 20 years, though. My boxing weight hovered around 145 as a young adult, so there is that.

I am a trucker, so inactivity is a huge problem. The typical day (7 days per week) is sit in a driver's seat until exhausted and then lie down in a bed and eat and watch youtube videos. Getting even halfway decent conditioning is going to be a major pita. My non-exercise activity is and will be almost non-existent, so everything will have to be purposeful.

It did not help that I woke up in the middle of the night and ate. First two food items were from that wonderful occurence. Fortunately, I am now out of pita chips. Obviously should have thrown them away when I decided to start this.
