9 miles in a day, awesome! I'm up to 4 miles in the morning, I'm going to stay at that distance for a few weeks I think, hope to reach 5 miles in 3 or 4 weeks.

Taking your time is wise. I'm not being particularly wise with that part. Lots of aches and pains which are not really necessary.

My excuse is that with my lifestyle I very frequently cannot do much of any exercise, so making hay while the sun shines.

Haven't you had a few 18,000 step days recently? That would be 9 miles total for me over flat terrain.

Yes, that's what my fitbit says. But I'm suspicious about the accuracy of those numbers. Now, the morning walk steps are accurate. I have an iPod I listen to and it has an exercise app, and both sets of numbers are within 1% of each other. So a 4 mile walk in the morning is ~9200-9300 steps. The rest of those steps are running errands, walking about the house, etc. I'm just not sure how valuable/accurate those steps are. But they are steps, so they're better than sitting on my rear.

BTW, that's a nasty looking foot you got there. Hope you recover soon.

Started loading creatine. Used this as an excuse to eat more pretzels. Expecting a few pounds of water weight over the next week or so. Fortunately, I am taking on a new position with my company that will have me at our corporate gym once every 4 or 5 weeks, which is where the doctor's office style scale is.

This coming Wednesday starts 5 or 6 days of eating and drinking with friends. One of whom joined the bet (her side is going from 125 to 115), so she will be helpful to keep me from going completely overboard.

Steak tacos 580
Pretzels 220
Chicken and brown rice 490

Oatmeal w/ whey 250

6 more days.

I'm pretty shitty about remembering to take pics, but I'll try to snap a few during our hikes.

I'm sore from yesterday's hike. I think the plan this morning is to take a shorter, easier one.

First of all congratulations to your process. I'm impressed how much you are walking. Are you doing anything to build up muscles? That helps a lot to lose weight.

I play around with exercise bands and dumbells for strength. Just figured out the other day that I can do pull-ups using one of my cabinets
