1. I can do it.
2. He is LT.

The guys on the basketball team at my college ran a mile "to see what kind of shape they are in" after getting back from the summer. The fastest guy was a 4:55 and the slowest was a 5:39. A 7'1" guy ran it in 5:17 and a freshman ran it in 5:11. Remember also that these are all guys who play for a very bad college basketball team who have just gotten back from their summer break.

LT is so goddamn fast. I don't mean to scoff at the challenge, because it is definitely hard, but there are just way too many average people that can do a 5 min mile. I am a little unsure of the bench, but seeing as your typical big NFL RB is pushing mid 4s already, it seems very doable.

1) Your typical big NFL RB isn't pushing mid 4s. That 430 number looks unreliable and exaggerated to me.
2) LT being fast in the 40 does not mean he can run a 5 minute mile, or close to it.
3) Lol at you contemplating 3 something.

275lb bball legend Wilt Chaimberlain, one of the greatest athletes ever, ran track + competed in marathons until he was 60. And you better believe Arnold when he said he trained with Wilt and Wilt benched 500+ for reps.

I have nothing but anecdotes as evidence for the 5 minute mile but he seem like the best candidate so far.

lol Wilt Chamberlain stories

I read a wiki answer on why there is no photographic or video evidence of his alleged foul line dunks. The response basically concluded that cameras and film were so rare in the time period that he played, there is no footage of basketball at the time.

Wilt is well-known as a master of tall tales. Take everything you read about him with a cup of salt.

Hogwash. He's probably a master of litotes. 4 women a day for his entire adult life is probably half of what he actually conquered.

I believe the benching. Wilt was insanely strong. And the story is even backed up in Arnold's Encyclopedia of Bodybuilding. I've read Arnold say he spotted Wilt lol

idk how competitive he was at distance running however

What impressed me the most about the Maryland Terps video of Vernon Davis wasn't his beastly lifts (which are quite impressive) or his physique, but the shots of him doing isolation exercises with very, very strict form. You can see him not leaning into or doing stupid **** with the lat pulldown or the tricep press. Compare this to, well, anyone you've ever seen do them.

When you see discipline like that, it almost certainly carries over into other areas.

A handful lol? I was thinking maybe David Boston 4-5 years ago, and Vernon Davis now. I don't think AP has a better bench than Vernon Davis.

you are underestimating the strength programs of some of these college programs. Nebraska and oklahoma had top of line stength programs. Also there was guy at texas two years ago on defense who could bench 550. If these guys cant do it they are very close on both ends. But Peterson coming from Oklahoma is a lock.
