Well that's good. Not so stiff this morning, just a sore throat. No doubt picked up some of that crap the guy was hacking out at work.

Good grief I've got to get moving. 517 steps today.Had 10k when I was at work on Monday.
We did go for a bike ride and stopped off at some basketball goals and I did some jump squats and stuff just to do something active.
Looks like I will be at the house for two more weeks.

Food Today:
2 bowls cereal... about 4 cups
4 cups whole milk
Protein shake
1-pack smoked salmon
5-tbs cream cheese
3-tbs goat cheese
Beagle cracker things

Baah...I need to log cals- in Fitbit again

Basketball goals?

You mean rims? Is this a Texas thing?

While 'basketball goals' is incredibly weird and no one in Texas says that, I think eating dogs is a bigger issue.

M’s fellow Texan Ted Cruz called it a basketball ring back in 2016.

What Gorilla? Everyone says 'goal' instead of 'rim'. This ain't the Bronx.

No they don't say that in Texas, maybe in East Texas where the inbreds leave. And people don't eat 1500 cals of cereal. Oh wait, nevermind. They probably do.

Rim or hoop. Nobody calls it a goal

While not common, I've heard goal plenty of times. Of course, it was never something like "Let's go down to the basketball field and shoot some goals".

Why is that good? You should be praying it is COVID, since you seem to be handling whatever you have well enough. Would be nice to just get it out of the way with a mild disease and get some immunity.

In late February I had similar cold symptoms that lasted about 2 weeks (although I had a fever for about 2 days and GI issues for a week or so) and I am actually hoping it was COVID, although I doubt it, if for no other reason no one else I know who was around me got sick from me AFAIK.

I was just having a discussion with some of the designers from my work.
Back in January my idiot boss came to work hacking and told me, "the boss can't call in sick" A few days later, two designers were out, then three more, then me.
(I'm a Project Manager/Project Engineer, but I also have to do my own design work so I work with all the designers closely as well)

We all thought we had the flu and were coughing non stop and in the bed with fever for days and were all sick for a month. Two of them went and got tested for strep+flu with negative results, the rest of us just called the doc who sent in scrips for Tamiflu/antibiotics/cough meds. We all suspect that we have already had the virus back in January.

If you had it back in January, there would be a lot of dead people in Texas right now. There are other viruses you know.

There is so much low hanging fruit to pick when it comes to MLYLT's tenuous grasp of the English language, that I think we can let "basketball goals" slide.

Definitely not wrong, but pretty ****ing weird.

We aren't going to derail this log, but the boss that hired me is an amazing man and manager. I mean just incredible: ethical, honest, decisive, caring, just a complete alpha in charge all around amazing man.

What happened was they hired a guy to be the engineering manager because they didn't have one and he became my boss. This guy is a corporate-middle managment drone that clearly climbed the ranks kissing ass coming into a small company and is just a bone headed sexist idiot. That's all I'm going to say about it ITT.

Mar 22 weight: 263.6

Last weigh in was 265.6 on Mar 8

So about 1lb loss per week the last two weeks.

Since I'm going to be working from home for two more weeks, I've decided its best to go ahead and quit smoking now while I'm not around my co-workers. I'll pick up my Chantix script tomorrow.

I've kinda been thrown for a loop by having to work from home and not having my normal routine, but it's going to be really good for me. I'm stocked up to do a lot of cooking!

Lesson #10

Nothing good comes from complaining about things or situations. I'm just gonna start letting things go and focusing my time on being happy.

Right now I'm kinda bored, but I'm about to ramp up on finishing some house projects, books, doing some meditation, and having fun with my daughter while I've got the extra time to do so.....no interest in spending that time complaining.

This working from home has got me all jacked up. I can't get anything done in regards to work or at home and I feel like I'm working more running around yet not getting anything done.
I was trapped in the house for the last couple of days with a flat tire and no available replacement tires until tomorrow morning.

We now have shelter in place orders and as of right now this is going to last another 2 weeks..... probably longer.

And this has pretty much been my homeschooling, none of that worksheet bullcrap...send my kid in the backyard with some junk to play. The teachers are all worried about them "not learning" for so long. Kids just need to be left alone to be bored by themselves to figure things out and be creative sometimes..... nothing better than this.

I'm having protein shakes, chicken, veggies, frozen pizzas, and cereal. This new shelter in place order is gonna have the grocery store shelves barer than they already were.

264lbs this week

No weight lost. Haven't been logging since working from home.
Keeping it mostly healthy with eggs, salmon, veggies and stuff. Obviously eating at maintenance calories this past week. Saving loads of money not eating out.

Not getting much movement in other than a mile+ walk a couple of times this past week.

I know what I need to do.

Ramping back up on the Chantix now. May be looking at 3 more weeks working from home....who knows.

You likely have much more than 3 more weeks WFH. Even trump extended guidelines til april 30th and In my opinion that’s an absolute bare hilarious minimum. It’s probably june or july if I had to make a wager.

Just curious, why can’t you log while at home? I noticed you are not making excuses which is good to see. But I have been wondering why no logs. I do root for you believe it or not but every attempt at this just feels the same to me.

I appreciate that you root for me J.

I can log while working from home, I just haven't been. Instead I've been needlessly worrying, thinking and obsesivley reading articles and research papers on all kinds of stuff....just finding myself going down more and more worm holes.

Just need a lil bit of refocusing and getting back to a routine.
Actually the first day working from home was pretty comical, at one point I was just walking in circles.....I for sure need a routine.
