I wonder a bit if there is some language-based confusion between celery and celeriac. But I assume if that was the case you would have sussed that out. I don't mind celeriac myself, but I am more likely to believe people disliking that.

Are they not fans of French cuisine? Disliking a standard mirepoix ingredient knocks out a good bit of French food.

Well of course - celery is 95% water. If it were 95% Dr Pepper, then it would be delicious, eh?

Besides, you know the big ass U is meant to hold peanut butter you just ground freshly in your food processor, yes?

Diet Dr. Pepper is 99% water. Regular Dr. Pepper is 89% water (and 10% sugar). Both taste pretty terrible.

Melk,

So I can get celeriac at virtually anything beyond the quickie mart type grocery. People love it. Poverty I guess?

I think they enjoy the subtle notes it adds to food, but don't like it alone? I know a lot of people who enjoy garlic/onion/etc in dishes but hate the actual taste alone. (See loco comments above.)

I have a pretty good TDEE estimate of 1970 now. I really want to be in the 170's by August 1st so I am limiting my calories to no more than 1370/day for the next month.

This is my weight loss this year, it's been steadily decreasing since I've moved.
- My step count has increased
-Avg monthly sleep has decreased by about 20mins each month since January.

I'm just eating more, sleeping less, and losing muscle.

Mon 8/30 log:

Over my limit because I got out of bed and ate brisket during the night.

2hrs of volleyball tonight. I was so gassed by the last set. This 98F heat during the days and swampy humidity at nights has been making me really sluggish the last few days.

Tues 8/31 log:

Over the limit again dang it. The woman making smoothies got her team chickfila instead of making smoothies today and shared with me. I think I'm going to bring my mini blender to work; I'm really liking these green smoothies during the day and don't want to be dependent on her making them.

Wed 9/1 log:

Made some zucchini and "philly cheesesteak" sandwiches last night.
Over did it on the garlic, but code3 wrote on the lid of my big jar of garlic saying it was a waste and would not be used, so I have to prove him wrong.

She is heating up.

Last few days look better. I want to see a long streak of days that look like what the rest of your life is gonna look like, everyday. And that eventually will be 2100 calories of nutritious food that you enjoy and with less than 20% of calories from death row staples (donk food). 2100 seems high but we need to add in the 6 hours of exercise + walking.

So yes, keep nuking that donk food. Eating donk food is like limping first in, in the cutoff. Dont do it. If the old lady in the big blind is begging you to stop raising her bb, okay you can be nice and limp once in a while if its a family game.

But here is the thing woman, life is a real facking big cash game. Stop limping the cutoff, first in. No sugar SODA!!!

Alright, no more limping.

Some things I need to adjust now:
I'm making exercise dependent on other people to give me an out to not do it.
I want to lift weights while my kid does gymnastics. She didn't want to go on Monday so I didn't go lift weights.
Code3 and I are doing yoga on Thursdays and when he doesn't want to go, I don't go.
The instructor has transitioned it from relaxing easy yoga to an intense venyasa flow that's a bit of a cardio+strength workout and he doesn't like it as much.
Next week I have to go regardless if they want to and get rid of that excuse.

Mentally:
I know that I always get moody and tired during ovulation week with the surge of estrogen. Doing deep breathing exercises really helps me relax and not feel so exhausted. I've been doing meditation at 8:45AM and during lunch; for ovulation week every month I gotta schedule some time for breathing throughout the days.
The last few weeks I have also been reinforcing negative thought patterns, gotta cut that off right now before I find myself being a downer and complaining everyday.

We've got a couple more weeks of this insufferable heat wave and then I can ramp up walking. Me and a group of women are going to walk on trails during lunch when it cools off.

This sounds like another thing to blow off if others aren’t going. Perhaps a better way to frame this is the you are going to walk on trails during lunch regardless if you have company.

I was going to reply to you and say that walking with them is just social and I already read/meditate during lunch, but I realized that might be another excuse for me not to move more.
Exercise is the main thing I need to increase right now.

Dinner tonight: Homemade hummus and chicken tiki masala with jasmine rice and garlic naan.
Mmmmmm

I also roasted a lot of garlic to add to other meals and have some garlic olive oil.....I'm gonna win!

Too many carbs. rice, naan, hummus.

Piping hot naan is delicious, so must stay. Cut out the donk rice, up the masala chicken. You are a pro, not a marginal player.

:Thumb:

I think I got food poisoning eating the Choctaw seafood buffet on Sunday. I had a lobster tail, muscles, and clams. Was sick all day yesterday and today.

Yesterday had a protein shake and 3 pieces of bacon, today was a protein shake, 4oz OJ, and a couple bites of the chicken masala.

ETA: just realized it could have been the dinner I cooked....dangit

I still went and played volleyball tonight, I was dying, but it was our best night yet.

Haven't been logging because I haven't been eating this week.....prolly sub 500cals/day. Went from 186lbs on Monday to 180lbs today. Fingers crossed I can get in the 170s without going back up after I'm rehydrated.

Almost to the 170's, it's happening this month!
My stomach is feeling alright today so I think I'll get back to normal eating and logging this week.
Gonna mow and do yard work today for some exercise.
My cardio health has gone from poor to almost good the past year. I'm aiming to get it to very good/excellent with a steady resting HR of 58 by the end of the year. I was at 82BPM in October 2019.

At work they are doubling my bonus this year with the chance to make 150% of my new bonus amount!!!! It will be enough to pay for skin removal surgery on my stomach next year. Now I'm really motivated to get the last 35lbs off so I can be in a bikini summer of 2022.
