He means you lack the backstory of this thread’s context and how you’re offering advice that initially everyone tries to give her.

I think we’ve mostly given up because the logs dont even get locked anymore. This is at least the 4th or 5th one. This same cycle has been going on for years.

I root for mly but she needs to make serious adjustments in approach because it feels like the exact same thing every time.

Oh... I just googled "sweet summer child" without context of the thread or backstory (that I'm mostly unaware of). Sorry!

Others told her not to count and just develop strong fundamentals?

No thanks on reading all that ****. Will take your advice that posting here as a futile as my former politics obsession.

You might want to try out reading some of that. Some might find it entertaining. Others might want to poke their eyes out. Only one way to find out where you fall.

I'm now in my 4th day of being unemployed. I got busy on day 1 and secured a phone interview, possibly a 2nd phone interview next week for a job in Dallas.
I've got my bills lined out and I can make it till Jan-Feb 2021:
-house payment defered for 3 months
-car payment defered 2 months with no interest accumulation
-switched car and house insurance to save $100/month
-applied for unemployment
-updated my budget/bills spreadsheet

The Plan:
-networking(1hr/day)
-apply for 2jobs per day
-house projects(in case I have to sell) (2hrs/day)
-meditation (1hr/day)
-workout video/walking/swimming(1hr/day)
-Reading (2hrs/day)
-Family time(3hrs/day)
-Cooking/Learning new recipes(1hr/day)
-Learning new skill(1hr/day)

This might be a good time to actually start studying for the PE exam and take it in October, I would still need to get 3 PE references to complete my application.
I could also get my PMP certification.

Code3-, my hija, and I are all going to do workout videos together everyday. It's going to be fun! They picked one that said "beginners" the other day where they did about 200+ squats and they both couldn't walk the next day lol.
I've just about got the pool clean and ready to go to start swimming too! Swimming laps is by far my favorite exercise, if I have to move to Dallas I am joining a gym with a lap pool again.

Sure talks a good game, but very little execution. This is getting old.

Because the goals are always so big. Look at that schedule, it’s absolutely nuts. Maybe that can be kept up for like a day? Maybe 2? Then you have something come up or your daughter breaks something or code makes you mad and it’s like all out the window at once.

Why dont you try to shrink that list by like.. 2/3rds. Can you set small goals for yourself?

I'll take the under on 1 day of keeping that schedule.

You guys do realize that I was already working full time, coaching my daughter's sports teams in conjunction with her gymnastics and Girlscouts activities, doing projects at the house, taking care of the yard maintenance and taking care of the house, right?

I'm already super woman, so keeping a that schedule while gaining 40hrs a week not working is no problem lol.

I'm trading the 40hrs of working with exercise, cooking, learning, networking, and applying for jobs.

Oh, and before I had my daughter and was working professionally I got an engineering degree while working 3 jobs.

Yeah it's been tough for me to get on a good exercise+meal prepping schedule while I was working, but all else considered I am an absolute badass.

No one is trying to claim otherwise, we’ve just um, seen this kind of thing before. Let us know in 2 weeks how diligently you’re keeping to this schedule...

You’re also the one that was bitching how you cant stay focused while at home. Where’s this huge reservoir of focus gonna come to complete this massive schedule?

It’s like 12 hours ffs. You only gained 8-10 hours a day of time. Set small goals you’ll do a lot better at keeping them.

You might be right about setting small goals. Maybe I just need to chill out for a little while.
All of the things I have to do are equally important though. Maybe I just need to take a step back and relax while trying to consistently introduce exercise into my routine and try to apply for just a few jobs a week.
The first time I was unemployed for 11 months I was putting in for 50+ jobs a month. I got a few interviews, but no job fr spending so much time blasting my resume out. It might be better for me to connect with some recruiters and get the searchimg for jobs for me.

Less eating, weight loss is done much more in the kitchen than exercising.

You have to address your underlying food addiction before anything is going to work.

We all know you're an achiever and have admirable traits.

Jamakin gives good advice and she instantly accepts. Progress! And hes 100% correct. When I was an obese smoker, I didn't try to solve both addictions simultaneously. I waited until I had a handle on my food addiction before I crushed my addiction to cigs.

Ever tried intermittent fasting? I am experimenting with this and seems to be working so far. For some reason, I have a lot more discipline not eating till noon than I do being super disciplined between noon and 8 pm. Everyone's different and just gotta find what works for you I guess.

Kellus,
I have tried intermittent fasting and I have found that its not hard not eating after 8pm and then skipping breakfast.
It also helps with food addiction and really being aware of when you are actually hungry instead of confusing emotions with hunger.

Dodger,
The benefits of exercise are more for keeping the depression at bay than for weight loss. I need to get moving and into a routine quick.

Ive got to get into a new routine and have a plan/schedule or I'm gonna find myself depressed, eating icecream in bed while playing civilization 16hrs a day.

I really like a of this guy's guided meditations and do them occasionally before bed, I have also been doing some control my own mind type of meditation to help with impulse control and I can feel the results.

That's cool, I agree.

Also moving fills up your time. Idle hand are the devil's (food cake) play things.
