No joke, a few months back the guy and I crossed paths on the way to bosses office, stopped and looked at each other from 15' apart a cross the office and just turned back around and went back to our offices....we just stopped going to his "meetings" without saying anything to our boss or each other.

This is no time for magic shows.

Not gonna binge this weekend, may not have the healthiest food but I will stay under calories.
I might go on a couple day posting rant about how I hate men and working as a woman in a male dominated field with a bunch of ****ing morons living it up because they sucked their buddies dick and what not, but I'm not start binging.

I'm gonna start getting my plan together for what to do next and how I can maximize my break from work and finally get freaking healthy.

As a former food obsessed fatty, I'd say don't log; it does more harm than good. Just drink a lot of water, listen to you body, and watch the weight fall off.

And for ****s sake, never eat cinnamon toast crunch again. **** brings nothing to the table - other than a soda's worth of added sugar. Don't count and focus on only eating "good food".

Maybe when you're on the verge of abs you might want to consider counting your calories. But we're still like 110 pounds from that.

#Fundamentals

Also, you're far less likely to have any sort of loose skin if you take you're weight loss nice and slow.

Lastly, I'd suggest checking my weight way less and rely on my clothes to tell me how things are going.

I'm rooting for you. We have a lot in common. I was 350 pounder who stuggled/s with mental illness. Good luck!

I'm sure you mean well and all, but this is terrible advice. One of the major problems that fatties have is that they don't know what the **** "good food" is. The best example was YTF, who thought things like his "healthy" breakfast would be multiple bagels with peanut butter and that sprite has no calories (or something nearly as stupid, I'm a bit fuzzy on the details as it has been a while). There were countless other examples.

A common example I see is nuts. People think nuts are great and wholesome -- clearly a "good food". If you just snack on some cashews while bingeing Netflix, it's easy to get to 500 kcal and not even realize it.

Now I suppose you could argue that MLYLT has been at the logging enough that she probably has these things figured out, but I'm not quite sure she is there yet. And in M's case I think there are other benefits of logging as well.

I'm not saying you can't lose weight without logging. You absolutely can. I just don't think that it is a good general recommendation.

Fair points. I do sometimes like to think that whatever worked for me is clearly the best way for everyone who is where I was.

I would amend my comment slightly: Avoid calorie dense food like nuts and nut butters until
you can develop the discipline to consume them in moderation.

I still think I'm mostly right though. This is the reason why she can't make the progress we'd all like her to achieve: tracking, measuring, weighing everything you eat is just too much for most people and she gets overwhelmed by it all and just gives up. The whole concept is unsustainable for most people. She needs to fix her fundamentals, then she is good to go for life. She doesn't need to track **** to lose a hundred pounds and keep it off for life. It's actually pretty easy.

Op, speaking of those fundamentals: stouffers lasagna is a banned food that never enters your house again. Use marinades and spices to give chicken and pork a different feel. Change the way you cook it too; sometimes bake, bbq, pan fry, etc. Become someone who likes to cook. It's fun! Cleaning up is the shitty part.

Thanks for the input vaf. I think for myself that I absolutely need to log food or I will end up with a 4kcal+ day. When logging, it helps keep me focused throughout the day.

What I'm learning about myself is that I need a set schedule, certain things I eat, and a very stable environment to balance out my craziness.

I'm in a constant state of flux;moods changing constantly/sleep patterns changing, I need my environment to be incredibly stable to be more successful.

The problem is that my mental illness causes my environment to constantly change as well. I'm having to change jobs every couple of years and was having relationship issues because of being crazy. Yeah I was hit with the industry downturns/layoffs, I'm a woman in a male dominated field and don't have the same pull as my male co-workers and will be laid off again tomorrow, but had I not been acting crazy at work or adjusting to meds being crazy I certainly wouldn't have been the one cut in any of those instances.

My kid has tiktok and some other apps on my phone, everything is running slow and janky. I gotta clean it up and get my Fitbit app back to working right.

I had this pancake and 2 glasses of red wine today.
1-banana
1cup blueberries
1/4 cup pecans
Low cal syrup

Finally! The trainer that MLY's been waiting for all these years. How are you at psychiatric advice? Maybe you can be her shrink too?

Got my walking papers this morning.
My ex-boss was across the table from me and the boss that hired me was at the very end of a long conference table. Ex-boss's hands were shaking and his voice was quivering lol, I just straight up interrupted him while he was reading his prewritten script and directed questions to my original boss and began trying to negotiate a larger severance. My ex-boss also started ****ing crying when he helped me carry my boxes to my car....geeze.

I got two weeks severance from those penny Pinchers and to my original bosses credit, he did call the president of the company to tried to get me more after the separation meeting but it didn't work.

Time to put my out of work game plan into action. My biggest regret is gaining weight and not freaking having a good profile pic for LinkedIn where my face doesn't look fat.

Why do you need a new photo? Can't you just use one from when you were 50lbs lighter or whatever it was? For your line of work I doubt it is going to matter if your photo is a few years old. Or can't you just go with no photo?

I currently have a photo from last December that is kinda decent but not professional looking. I don't have any old photos with good lighting that look professional.

Well if it bothers you that much, just go with no photo.

I'm definitely no expert on the correlation between pic vs no pic vs bad pic and success in job hunt. My sense is that no pic probably doesn't really hurt you and it's not that uncommon. But I really don't know, and I could easily be wrong.

Definitely can't go with no photo, it's like you are hiding something and no one can deny that people are influenced by people's appearance.
You can tell a hell of a lot about someone just by their face and I think it would be in my best interest to drops some lbs in the next couple of months and get a good pic.

That being said, eeeh today will be my final binge day.
I had two sausage biscuits with strawberry jelly, came to Dallas and had a bacon cheeseburger and two scoops of ice cream.
I kinda really want to smoke some pot, but I have no clue how to procure it so I guess that's out.

Not a fan of this "final binge day" logic. Because the flip side of that coin is a "diet" - which is by definition a temporary thing. You need to look at it as "the way I eat for the rest of my life". It's all tied in to this counting nonsense (I suspect).

This way of thinking will keep you a fat ****. Even if you manage to lose 60 pounds, you'll surely gain it back.

Althlean X talks about this and it's helped me change my life. That dude doesnt count! And you shouldn't either.
