I haven't done a deep dive, but my understanding is probably not. There are plenty of people like you with slower wt loss who describe it happening to them.

Of course it doesn't really matter. M wants to eat more. She's gonna find a way to justify it to herself.

So you've followed your post op instructions to limit calories to 400 exactly zero times. Good job. We all knew you were REALLY serious THIS time.

I don't wish to pile on here but I mean if you have a plan to limit to 800 calories, maybe limit to 800 calories. I don't know I'm no expert mang.

I'm working it out.
I can only consume about 2oz of cottage cheese, 4oz of soup+ricotta, or 3/4 of a protein shake at a time right now. I'm physically hungry every single hour of the day and Im trying to figure out the right times to drink water to help with the hunger and keep calories low. Im drinking water/eating all day long and it's an adjustment from just eating at meal times.
It will be better when I get into the solid food phase with prepped meals at certain times, I should feel full longer with solids and can have everything planned out for the day.

What is there to work out? You've been given a limit, stick with it. Simple.

Are you sure? I heard that people who lose weight don't have to be hungry, and that the only possible response to feeling peckish is to eat.

(In case it wasn't clear, that was sarcasm due to my going hungry for the last 3+ months)

Well the other problem is that it happens to be possible to prepare low calorie density foods that would make one feel satiated all day long on an aggressive weight cut. But fatties have no interest in those foods. So I guess my point is that you don't even have to be hungry to lose weight. Just stop mainlining cheese.

Mark,
First therapy session went well, 2nd is this week. It's free and I can only go every other week. Just gonna be working on dealing with flashbacks for a while, then getting to the roots of everything else; it's gonna be a long process. She thinks I have PTSD as did the other therapists I saw last year. I agree, it affects me daily and is exacerbated without the distraction of working and keeping my mind busy.
For the next few weeks Im going to try to throw myself into studying, but this has been extremely difficult as I've lost motivation and confidence and have just been so tired.
I've applied for over 800 jobs at this point and haven't been working for 7 months. Got a rejection reply from an engineering firm last week that said my experience was quite different from what they are looking for despite my experience being an exact ****ing match....it's crushing and just makes me want to something entirely different. I want to do anything other than going back to the work cultures I've been in.

Rich/Gorilla,
Im working through being hungry. Im still feeling sick and hurting. I tried an egg+potato blend last night and got the same flu sick feeling as the tuna fish. Lifted some groceries last night and my stomach is hurting this morning. I'm just tired, hurting, hungry, and moody.

I would like to see these 250lb mass monsters (there is three of them when we include MLYLT) talk about it being okay to be hungry. But the caveat is, they have to eat 800 calories a day for three weeks. My guess is they have never eaten less than 2000 a day, probably 2400 for the gorilla.

So I am not commenting too much as this hero attacks unchartered territory in this forum. Wish her the best and if it's okay with doctor, start light exercise. Exercise is always important for every aspect of health.
Also I was shocked by these slimfast shakes my brother got. 100 mg caffeine, 20 g protein, 5 fiber, zeroish sugar, 160 cals. They were okay tasting but my gosh, so filling. He bought a whole bunch of them because they were $1.20 on walmart sale and we had to pound them before our flight in a few days. I drank two and couldn't eat for hours. I was thought of slimfast as a donk company but these shake companies upping their game. I just remember Ensure and their sugar infested diet drinks with 10g protein (lol).

Loco, I have been saying for weeks that being hungry won’t kill you and have been on an aggressive cut for months. I think her unwillingness to ever feel hungry is a huge leak in her weight loss journey and pointing it out isn’t really that hypocritical or groundbreaking.

Of course not, I am sure I've said the same thing before.

But she is averaging 600 calories for three weeks. Unchartered territory for all. The gorilla and muny have never eaten less than 2000 calories. Ever. And all three of them weigh the same. 245lb behemoths.

Actually I think there is a chance that I have never said being hungry is okay. Guys like thremp think dieting is totally miserable. And I have never been on that ship. If I am hungry I just chomp on very filling food so that I am not hungry. Some people think apples are donk fpod, but have you ever tried eating three of them? Fack. And not to mention real filling stuff like broccoli. Ouch, I am full just thinking about it. So yeah, I don't know hunger.

What I have said many times though, Is thay my man gandhi survived three weeks with no food. Multiple times. And he only weighed 120. So I am sure MLYLT is not going to die.

Apples are my go to filler food. You probably could diet in a way where you never go hungry - but even eating just apples I think if you are sub 1000 calories you’re still gonna feel a little hungry. 1000-1500 calories though, you could easily eat enough satiating foods to never be hungry on a cut.

One caveat to the sub 1000 hunger though - I know a guy in another forum that did an all potato cut. Just potatoes with salt/pepper, no condiments. He lost a ton of weight and felt little or no hunger.

Connor Murphy did 40 days straight this summer with zero preparation, drinking only filtered tap (so no supplements), and somehow survived. Also, there wasn't any bamboozling going on because he livestreamed every second of it.

To MLY I would suggest something that is high in water content, but low in calories such as watermelon. Fruit are generally easy on your digestive system and make you feel full without packing a lot of calories.

What Rich said. Everyone knows that forgoing eating is unpleasant. You still have to do it, and there is no way of avoiding it. It sucks. That it sucks doesn't have any bearing on whether you have to do it. Even if it sucks a lot.

At least do it well (aka stick to the plan your doctor gave you), so you can get some warm fuzzies from the feelings of self mastery. Doing it half-assed has to feel much worse emotionally plus it is literally making your stomach hurt.

No one said it would be fun, but when someone gets surgery to lose weight -- and the maximum benefits happen early and taper over time -- it only makes sense either to follow doctor instructions or to get another doctor and follow that doctor's instructions.

Not true. My breakfast today wasn't even 1,000 calories.

I don't know about that, but I'm a little offended that you watched one of my videos and didn't post a comment on my log.

I assume you're talking about Keeeeeed. He also gained every bit of it back (~30 lbs IIRC*) in about 6 months.

*There was a wt loss bet involved, so I think that before the final weigh in he did a lot of stuff to reduce water wt, so likely only about 20 of it was real wt loss. Nevertheless he did gain it all back very quickly.

There's is a local orchard that delivers us 20lb boxes of honeycrisp apples when they're in season. I can easily demolish much more than 3 just watching TV or whatever. I try to limit my consumption to 3/day, but there are days I've eaten 6 or 7 (not a one sitting). I just can't imagine filling up on these, but they are the GOAT apple. Rest of the year we mostly get our apples from various stores and they're good, but I never have the desire to eat more than a couple of those at a time

Broccoli definitely does me in though. 2 bags of frozen florets is my max.

I disagree on your apple GOAT choice, but yea, loco is off here. Eating 3+ apples might be the easiest challenge ever.

Every morning, at the end of my 768kcal breakfast, I eat an apple and a pear (so I guess it's technically a 944kcal breakfast, touche loco). It's just a delicious, sweet, non-filling treat.

What kinda apple consumption are we talking in one sitting that you'd put money on loco? 10?
