The first two weeks of work I ate McDonald's and Sonic every single morning for breakfast. That was an old 300lb habbit that I am not getting back into. Got everything to make egg sandwiches for breakfast. I would do oatmeal, but I just can't stand to eat anything sweet in the mornings nowadays.
To begin with I get to work from home on Tues and Thursdays. This gives me a lot more time for cooking and less having to meal prep+eat the same food everyday. I did manage to meal prep all of my lunches the last two weeks.
MLY,

I don't want to stop you from your cooking experiments, but I'm pretty sure what you consider stir frying isn't actually stir frying. Maybe start with something simple like a Chinese tomato egg, and move from there? Basically home burners can't create enough heat to replicate a wok (aside from that a pan works better on a conventional stove), so you need to cook small batches that you add in at the end together to bind with the sauce. It seems like you're just kinda throwing a bunch of stuff in a pan, and then eating whatever come out? Regardless, great progress on trying!

Oatmeal isn't sweet btw. Poor people just use water, but you can use milk as well.

Also, what are you eating at McDonald's/Sonic? Granted McDonald's is prob as underrated for breakfast as Waffle House is overrated, but an Egg McMuffin (what you want to prepare at home) is 310 calories and several options at Sonic are under 500 with reasonable although not great macros. (20:1 cal to grams of brotein) I also learned that the Canadian version is smaller than the USA#1 version. smh Canada.

If you are in a pinch and need quick fast food breakfast with reasonable macros, my go to is Double Egg White Grill from Chick-fil-a.
Just ditch the muffins from the second one and throw the egg and chicken on one.

Lol at eating anything from a fast food joint. Double lol at complaining that the size of garbage food items are smaller in different countries than USA#1.

CFA is elite for high protein meals. One minor point of worry is that bread/fried chicken is hyper palatable and you can easily go over cal restrictions esp when using heaps of sauce as MLY is known to do. (You can make good to great food choices at any FF place, so boiling in some MLY std behavior.)

I've also never been a fan of the "toss the buns" approach. Why not just eat less? Just eat one sandwich. She is an obese woman who needs well under 2000 calories per day. She should weight... ~130? Using some crude back of the envelope math that is closer to 1500 than 2000 given her history of activity. Anyway, my issue with the bun removal is just that its messy and there are a ton of options preferable to getting dirty hands.

Two grilled chicken egg white cheese sandwiches at chick fil is less than 600cals combined, don't even have to throw bun. It's also too damn filling, coming it 52g protein.

But then fatties will pull a Renton, I am stuffed but still got room for a donut move. Or it's lunch time, have to eat or I will starve move.

So yeah it's hopeless, maybe in a few years get obesity drugs, when there is more research and availability to insurance.

I actually can't finish an entire Mcdonalds Sausage and biscuit anymore Loco, so quantity isn't an issue. I just want to eat healthy food and not have anything that reminds me of my fatty lifestyle. I'm loving fried eggs+cheese on whole wheat bread at the moment.

The alcohol and mixes have made me put on weight this year. 300-700 calories a drink.

NotThremp, no I am not supposed to be 130lbs lol. Before blowing up, I was a steady 145lbs@5'8", size 10, 36C and my ribs showed. I would say 155-165lbs is the optimal weight for myself. Realistically I know I can get down to 175lbs.

Chicken Tinga and Greek yogurt tortillas turned out tasty. I didn't have enough chicken though.

MLY,

That is absurd. Also, you seem to think that seeing ribs is not normal? It is incredibly normal for healthy adults to have visible ribs that are not covered by fat. Also, a size 10 has a grown man waist measurement, that is most definitely not a svelte waistline especially considering you're a 36 up top. My guess is that you were overweight at 145 and have normalized obesity to such an extent you don't realize that seeing ribs is normal and healthy.

I don't mean this to belittle you or hurt your feelings or any weirdness. Most people are just accepting of carrying extra weight as "part of life" (you also mention this, why would you need to weight 10-20lbs more than previously as an adult?). This is fattie thinking. You need to believe that there is a healthy weight person hiding inside of you under an unknown amount of extra fat.

I never feel like eating after seeing MLY food concoctions. Looks like diarrhea or vomit.

Can you cook something that looks pretty? I saw a pretty steak one time.

Look on the bright side. This can help you maintain Greek statue status. Just bookmark a few of them and then the next time you're thinking of pounding a bread pudding, go have a look at some of them. Problem solved.

You could also, by extension, cook a piece of chicken or slice of ham. Put that on a plate next to a steamed or sauteed or microwave-in-bag vegetable or two and maybe a potato or some rice, and you've got a tasty and good looking dinner. Simpler is usually better

The photos are bad, but I’m sure the food tastes fine. You can make any dish look “good” with proper lighting and the correct camera angle.

Static, overhead shots under fluorescent lights will make anything/anyone look like ****.

I want to to learn to cook something new. I don't like kale or coconut curry, but other than those I'm open to trying absolutely anything.

I made creamy crawlfish "etufee" ; I used greek yogurt instead of cream and added some gnocci.....it turned out great.

Dinner tonight is 1oz sweet potato, .25oz dark chocolate, .25oz pecans, cucumbers, tomatoes, kimichi and 2oz baked chicken.

Oh yeah, I started Hello Fresh back up so I could get some more practice with proportioned meals.

Those ****ers actually reached out to me for an interview this past week. I had to decline. Even though it would be fun projects and 15mins from the house, I feel like I've hit the jackpot company wise and hopefully my craziness can improve being around nice/decent people.

I also finally broke down and paid for a doctor visit and antibiotics last night after suffering for a month. Already feeling better; hopefully won't be so tired soon and can finally start going to the gym. I've gained 3lbs since starting my log back up.

Possibly fatty thinking. I am quite hippy though and have never had a thigh gap. My mother told me she was 110lbs(at 5'4") when she gave birth to me, so genetically I should be a slinder frame other than huge breast that all 3 of my sisters from my mother and she have. Those are like 5lbs each, so 145lbs would put me at a true 135lbs.

145 would put you well out of the range where you would have physical/health risks from being fat.

I've been in Texas this week (Waco and Dallas mostly), and you are probably significantly underweight by normative measures there if you keep below 250. Could probably win a bikini contest if you are under 190.

Yeah. The restaurants are packed every night here and drive through fast food packed every morning. I don't know what they are feeding the kids at school, but they are all obese as well.
I have traveled to many states for work and had a lot of shitty food compared to Texas though. We do have really really good food (Tex-Mex / BBQ) and it's hard to not indulge.
We also have a work long hours at all cost mentality in most companies with remote/hybrid work being frowned on and most commutes long distances making fast food and eating out too convenient.

i wouldn't date someone who didn't have a thigh gap and apparently that's a hot take back here in USA

in this country we delude ourselves into believing that normal healthy proportions are dangerously skinny and it's all cope and justification

yes, there are some people who's proportions make it more difficult etc but if you google it most results are sham bits about it being a dangerous, unrealistic, and unhealthy beauty standard when in fact it just means you are healthy

you really think people are evolutionarily designed to have their thighs rubbing against each other?

name one animal, insect, fish even, that doesn't have a thigh gap in the natural world
