I've learned a lot of lessons from H&F since 2016 with a starting weight of 301, getting down to 200 by 2018, and back up to 272 in 2019:
#1: Have a food scale
#2: Weigh everything and count calories accurately
#3: Have a plan for food, sleep, exercise
#4: No liquid calories~sodas, juices, tea, coffee with sweeteners
#5: Prep meals
#6: Walk, walk, walk
#7: Perfect your form before lifting heavy
#8: Develop habits by starting one at a time; start by drinking a glass of water as soon as you get up
#9: Excuses are never grounded in reality, you always have time and always have a better option
#10: Complaining and focusing on inconsequential things to ***** about is a negative cycle and self sabotaging
#11: If the truth hurts, it should
#12: Everything starts with the mind, focusing on your mental status helps everything else fall into place
#13: Happiness is real, love is real, living a fulfilling life isnt a hopeless endeavor.
#14: If something is causing you stress and constant anguish, quit- walk away immediately, never stay in a job/relationship/situation that affects your mental health negativity.

I went back through my original log and it was pretty full of lol fat logic, excuses, and a lot of fighting against advice that I now know to have been spot on and would have led me to success in weightloss and improving my life. It's time to apply all of the advice and information I have received here.

Current weight: 269
Plan: Weigh food, count accurately, walk, develop good habits everyday, no excuses.

Here are my starting pics and my prepped food for the week.
I will have a protein shake for breakfast (have trialed these for a week and I like em), 1/2cup oats+1/2 cup blueberries+1 cup 30cal almond milk for a snack, 4oz chicken+veggies for lunch, eggs or salmon or tuna or sweet potato+veggies or sushi for dinners.

I now have a fit bit to track steps, Cals, and sleep. I got a bike for riding on the weekends, I joined a Thurs yoga class, I can go to the gym every Wed while my daughter is in her gymnastics class, and I have the work gym for 1hr 5x a week during lunch....no excuses to not move.
I got in with a Pyschiatrist on Wed for meds and will be refered to a therapist then, for the first time I am actually excited to start working with a therapist. I did a lot of soul searching and self improvement mentally this past year and I'm ready to move forward.

She is back, I love it.

Mods please don't close the log, I am sick of your cabal like tactics to rid us of the great hope of H&F. Let her be, let her be.

Dinner tonight: 3 eggs, 12oz sweet potato, a stuffed bell pepper I cooked this past weekend-1/3lb ground beef, 1/3c cheddar cheese and 1/3c Italian mixed cheese.

I walked for 30mins at lunch, went for a bike ride after work, and got over 10k steps in.

My legs, right above the knees, burn so bad riding a bike and I have to pause every half block to stretch them out. I also got a hunker from the pawn shop and the gears just randomly change as I'm going.

Only slept 5.5hrs last night, meds should help with adjusting sleep patterns.

Holy **** this is good.

Who was the crazy guy talking about how no one really likes meat and just covers it with crap to make it edible?
That man has never had a steak....cooked by me.

Today's food log:
I'm not going to show the breakfast and lunch everyday as the Cal's will be the same. I really like not having to think about these meals and just being on auto pilot. I am thinking about adding a banana or boiled egg to the afternoon snack as I am starving by the time I get home.

I'm also cutting way back on diet sodas and I'm feeling the caffeine withdrawal. That in addition to low Cal's is making me a little loopy at times during the work day.
I'll adjust soon enough though. I did a three day semi fast a couple of weeks ago. Day 1&2 around 500cals, Day 3 zero....it wasn't that bad until the headaches on day 3. It for sure kicked my brain into gear where I wouldn't have the irrational thoughts of being soooo hungry that I have to stop for a 2 double cheeseburgers and a large FF.
A good mental reset before I launched into cutting Cal's significantly.

That looks good, maybe a million times better than fast food.

You are killing it. You are battling your demons and pushing them back. But remember, they are never truly defeated. They will creep up on you and slap you around like they have for the last two years.

Everyday you have to wake up and be ready for battle. An eternal war but look right up there at the OP, you already have all the weaponry to defeat them at the H&F game.

You are an athletic competitive person, get the job done this time.

Someone took one of my prepped lunches at work lololol. They took the broccoli one, I was looking forward to that broccoli today!

This is my reminder to bring one of my extras tomorrow so I can finish out the week without going out for lunch.

I made a couple of extras for my daughter's dinners, I'll make more than 7 next week so I'm prepared for the thieving.

Got my meds. Will start tomorrow and see how it goes. Hopefully my sleep will normalize as well as my moods to help with calorie and exercise compliance.

One causes weight gain and the other weightloss lol

This place was ghetto and they treat you like a criminal just like the hospital did. It's ludicrous that you aren't treated like a normal patient going in for medical help. They were trying to have me take a pee drug test and I refused after they spoke to me like I was some sort of inmate being processed in jail.

Is this gonna be a log where people can be honest or does it have to be lala land?

Because what I’d say to this is it’s a really bad idea and a good way to go over your plan. What happens at the end of the week when no one stole your food and you have “extra?” Just throwing it away? No chance. Just my 2c. Make your plan and dont deviate at all even if it makes sense in your head to do so.

I believe I am more open to honestly than before.

Thanks for the input. I think my daughter will handle the extras. She loves these prepped meals lol.....and eating all the blueberries I got for my oats.

We had a rash of lunch items, drinks and other food go missing from the office fridges earlier this year. I drafted an email telling people to basically knock it off and sent it through HR requesting that they find a way to relay the message to the office in a nicer manner. Perhaps corny, but I liked the result:
