I believe animals shouldn't be trapped inside and put in a cat door for them. I think the first two were stolen. A woman had both of them in her arms in my front yard last summer, when I ran outside she dropped them and got in her car real fast, a few months later they both disappeared. I think she may have came back and taken them. My neighborhood had several indoor/outdoor cats that would roam and go back home, there were also three pet geese that would walk up and down the street and get in my pool, so everyone was looking out for pets while driving. They didn't get hit by a car or run off.

Probably a cat theft ring. Black market for house cats is pretty strong due to the rarity of house cats.

Lol

Spicy Maple Chicken tonight and a nice walk. I couldn't be happier with the area I'm living in now. There are lots of walking trails, side walks, parks, bike paths, and old trees covering the streets. It's beautiful.

Santa Fe Pork Tacos

I've ordered the 2 portion meals, eating half for dinner and the other half for lunch with a protein shake for breakfast. The chicken portion was only one small chicken breast though and not enough for dinner+ lunch so I just ate sweet potatoes and green beans today.

I'm hoping my daughter likes the meals and I'm in a good routine to cook with her every night when she gets back from her dad's.

So I'm in a dilemma with work and not sure what I should do. The operations manager quit at the location I was previously working out of and my boss has been sent to potentially replace him. This would make my job much more enjoyable, but it's not a guarantee. On the other hand a position has opened up at a company that made me an offer a couple of years ago and I went with the O&G company instead. They are good people, I would be a good fit, and it is only 6mins from my new house. I'm not sure if I should wait it out at this current company to see if I get out from under this idiot or go ahead and apply for the other job.
My gut is telling me to jump ship and not take any chances waiting to see how it shakes out.
The CEO hasn't been exposed to my boss enough to realize he is a complete moron, so even if he did take over the other plant I don't think it would last for long.

There's a big difference between applying for an open position and jumping ship. Did they reach out to you to ask you to interview, or did you just see an opening?

You don't know what the current situation is at the other company, or if you'd get the job, or likely what the people are like or if the fit is good, etc. It's been a few years. Maybe you've kept in touch, but maybe not.

It's relatively costless to find out, though. Explore the option.

I'm also kind of assuming that if the boss goes to the other plant and the CEO finds him to be an idiot, it's more likely he'd be fired than that he'd be sent back to ruin things out of the CEO's view.

Regardless - it sounds like your current job is going to get better for now, and possibly permanently, and you liked this job. And the other thing is potential as well. So you can explore that too. You don't have to make a decision right now, so you might as well learn more about both things. Apply / reach out for the other position. But don't go out of your way to poison your current situation.

:Thumb: Thanks.

I went ahead and applied for the other position and I'll see if they contact me. I haven't kept in touch, but they told me to reach out to them if I was ever interested so I'll also go through some old emails and give them a call.

My job at the new location is not that great, the people aren't good, and I only see one other large project possibly developing in a few months. Kinda twiddling my thumbs at the moment. I'm not sure what their plans are for me here, but since the COO(a major investor in the company) hired me the people at this office act like I'm important or something.....it's weird.

I wish they would let me take over at the other plant. Everyone likes me there and I would love it. My boss was previously over that plant for a year and was fired about 8yrs ago before it was acquired by the current company. The operations manager that just quit was actually his replacement and brought him back on this previous year for this large project out there because they couldn't find anyone else. Long story short, everyone out there worked under my boss before and hated it, he was fired, and now they are stressing that he will be in charge again.

Steak tonight, it was not good. I tried to reverse sear it, but with no marbling there was no flavor.....and I overcooked it a bit

I'll just go to the store when I want steak. The two servings chicken meals are also only one small chicken breast~7oz even though it says 10oz. Pretty expensive cost per serving for chicken and veggies. I may have to go to the store for chicken as well. I've got a salmon recipe next week, fingers crossed.

Made two meals tonight so we can go to Top Golf or a play tomorrow.
Balsamic Fig Chicken and Zucchini+Sun dried tomato Pinini

I burnt the potatoes :/

These both are delicious. Balsamic vinegar and fig jam are amazing together.

Made two meals tonight to eat over the weekend.

Went to a brewery last night, $30 for a drink and bacon cheeseburger. Such a waste of money. I can only eat 1/4 of a burger at a time and the rest gets wasted. No more eating out except for sushi on occasion.

I'm coming up with a plan to retire at 48 and a big part of that will be cutting going out to eat.

Weigh in today:
It seems there is an 8week cycle where I don't lose, gain a lb, lose a lb, and then have a few weeks of losses. This correlates with my sleep patterns and mood as well.
I suspect I will be in the 180s in two more weeks, have a couple of weeks of good sleep, and be feeling good.

Still 50lbs to go. My daily steps have increased by 2500-3000 over the last six months without me even really thinking about walking more, maybe it's just so much easier now that I'm naturally moving more.

It is beyond time to get back to the gym. My boobs are now falling into my arm pits when I lay on my back and my butt is jigglier than it's ever been. There are a few more boxes still to unpack and things to do to get the house in order. I'll spend today doing a lot of it so I won't have excuses during the week not to go to the gym....it's just 4mins from my house, I could actually just walk there, lift weights, and walk back depending on the heat.

Poker chops, sweet potatoes, and carrots for lunch yesterday with a protein shake for breakfast.
We went to cheesecake factory this past weekend and I ate chicken+ alfredo+lemon raspberry cheesecake for dinner, will have that again tonight and start cooking my hello fresh meals on Wed thru the weekend.

I've eaten more veggies in the last couple of weeks than I have in months, the hello fresh is working out in that regards and having healthy prepared lunches.

Code3 and I joined a 2x2 sand volleyball league and will play a couple of games a week.
Most of the girls were wearing swimsuits that looked like this, so he insta wanted to sign up. He thinks he will be chilling looking at hot girls, but his ass is going to learn how to play cause we are playing to win.
We'll see how it goes lol, I'm really competitive and he is not at all.

I like that you are making an effort to have a scheduled thing you do together. It seems like code likes doing stuff generally (podcasts, basketball game, etc) and so having something he's engaged with that you do together might lower your feeling that he's always off doing stuff with other people "instead" of you. Now there's an option that is with you that isn't hanging out at home!

On the other hand, if he is not a competitive person and it's a beach filled with hot girls wearing those types of bikinis, he is going to be looking at hot girls and you are going to be losing volleyball games. Unless you can think of appropriate bribes.

Yeah, it will be nice to have something we do together outside of the house other than poker which really isn't a "together" activity.
I think he may don competitiveness for my benefit. It's not a beach though, just sand pits in the hot ass Texas sun. I'm a little worried I'll struggle with being out of shape and the heat.
