That's almost like deadlifting while wearing a 10 lb neck harness.

So, in to my third week of SS, I was waiting for the squat rack at the gym I go to. Bro had pushed an open bench in there and was bench pressing.

Anyway, he finished and left so I started doing squats. A trainer came up to me and asked me "You doing starting strength?" I just kind of went, "Uh. . . yeah. How did you know?"

He pulled some photocopies of pages he was going over to give one of his clients out of the binder he was carrying. Victory.

One of the soccer coaches was benching and had 235 loaded. He asked for a spot. Dude does one rep with struggle and attempts second rep and I had to pull up on it quite a bit. Obv he says "one more" so I let him grind a 5 sec rep. Come to think of it, the 2nd rep is prob where I hurt my damn trap/shoulder.

Anyway, the head soccer coach (I think) had at least 8 bosu balls. He was explaining to his players the importance of them. The sick circuit he had them doing: stand on one leg and throw a medicine ball to each other. Stand on ball with light dumbbells, do a squat, into a curl, into a press. My fav, back foot on the ball in a lunge position, jump with front foot while simultaneously doing overhead band pullaparts.

C'mon guys, at least it's real football unlike the silly american version of the game.
7 seconds of big roided dudes piling on each other and then eight minutes of standing around, re-positioning, and commercial breaks. Yawn.

Litmus test for soccer: If you can appreciate this video, there is hope. If not, go watch some baseball.

In addition to risking a goal against themselves for little (if the game was close to ending and they had the lead) to no reason.

There's a pretty big percentage of soccer fans that think this is beautiful to watch and The Correct Way To Play[tm].

3 bros doing their big leg day... doing the thing on the leg press where they load up like 10 plates and take two off every 10 reps or so.

They then did leg extensions.

They one say "what next?" and one says "lets do some front squats".

Loaded up 135 (which is probably like .75xbw) for the first dude and he struggles for a couple of half reps. racks it and says "it's hurting my arms" to which the response is "that 's probably because you're going too low".
