Is doing squats with your feet as narrow as possible (touching each other) legit? Maybe I'm too lazy to research this on my own but a guy who talks with me at the gym went to a much lower weight to do "narrow stance" squats, which I assumed meant not sumo (how he normally squats, to not good depth and with knee cave but w/e) and more like shoulder width so I was excited for him. But then he put his feet together and did a bunch of reps.

wouldn't that just ass**** your knees into oblivion, and accomplish like half the work a regular squat would do, at half the workload

sometimes body builder types do very close stance, feet forward 1/2 squats for quad hypertrophy. but if that's your goal you might as well leg press.

Oh, he did a bunch of leg press too so he has that base covered as well. I'm not sure if he has knee problems, but he has "tendonitis" and can't do even 1 pullup atm b/c of it. He allegedly knows what foam rolling is, but I'm not sure he ever does it.

I was kinda hoping the squat thing he was doing was legit, for his sake.

Justin Hodges (one of the best rugby league players in the world) was at my gym today.

When I got in he was running on the treadmill. Then he benched 3 sets of 200lbs. Then he super setted hammer curls with 175lb smith machine half squats. Finshed with some concept2.

Big bench friday at the gym today. Guy doing paused singles up to 225kg and then the shirt went on when I left so probably going over 300kg. Sick stuff. There was also a woman doing weighted dips and pullups
