LOOOL, just to clarify, I ad-libbed the suicide bomber phrase, cause it was the first thing that came to mind when I read "PRE-WORKOUT DETONATOR!" Doesn't detract from that amazing pic though, Soulman. Stellar work.

I sense the birth of a new h&f meme.^^^

Went to gym yesterday with some boys from rugby, completely untrained, these boys are beasts.

One 200 pounds dude did 3*5 squats at 240 with great form, never having squatted in his life. Was scarily impressive.

Someone at the office asked about P90x yesterday, and I used the "punch self in the balls" metaphor to explain. Praise thremp.

There was a bro setting up plates for a deadlift. I asked him what he's doing and he said 11 quick heavy singles first (30 sec rest), and then he'll do his sets, and that he'll take 20 minutes. I asked if I could quickly do my one set before he starts. He was like, "just ONE set?" "Yyyeah." Later he was talking to his buddy saying that he was on deadlift and bicep day.

It's cool that he's deadlifting, but it seems to be that what he's doing is serious broverkill. Thoughts?

I broke down and signed up for a gym membership a little bit ago.

I observed that I will not be lifting there, as the weight room is AIDS.

Basketball, swimming, hot tub, will mostly why I go.

legit imo. I do stuff like that. It allows you to use better form for each rep than your last reps on sets with more reps.

Interesting stuff. You learn something new everyday.

Can't say I'll be incorporating this any time soon, but good to know that it can help boost your DL. Would come in handy during plateaus.

This is def cool, and the kinda stuff I wanna experiment with.

I'm experimenting with my own DL rep scheme this month, if I don't add 15 pounds to my 1RM I will be failface, but will have learned something.

Guy yesterday asked me for some help. He placed four plates on a table and was loading them on a belt to do chin-ups. I just moved the table out of the way once he got in position. He moved maybe one inch. He then removed one plate and moved another few inches. I've seen this same before dude go for the heaviest dumbbells he can and do assorted workouts with them.

No idea what he's trying to accomplish.
