my biceps are never sore, even days after curling or heavy chins...i guess im back dominant for chins and forearm dominant for curls? is that a real thing?

maybe why my back gets bigger, but my arms are small

My biceps rarely get sore but my hamstrings will remain sore for a week after a tough KB swing session. God help me if I do RDLs or good mornings.

Saw a flashy bro doing hammer bro-curls with 45s - totally back swinging to get the reps in. Guy had the jersey, jewelry, accessories and everything. He would do his curls standing and then just drop the dumb bells when he was done to make sure the loud thud got everyone's attention. Then he'd grab peeks around the gym to see if everyone was checking out his workouts. Admittedly, the thuds did get my "wtf was that" attention."

That was my lolGGO of the day.

Two from yesterday:

-Bro with massive shoulders and stick legs and is an annoying grunter explained his work out routine to some slightly smaller bro: Apparently he works out at night, then comes back the next morning at 5am to hit the same muscle group again because the double load really increases the benefits of that night work out.

-Two small idiots discussing the merits of trimming hair or going fully bald. On their balls.

^ wow never heard the ball trimming one in pubic. Public. Whatever. Gross either way, I would text my buddy if I was standing next to him for fear of the mortification of people hearing. Unless it was hot chicks on the prowl.

Dude in the free weight barbell area is doing shoulder shrugs and pauses every once in a while to put the weights down to do a bunch of kicks and spins and jump kicks and then pose menacingly in the mirror with fists out and snarls. He may weight 130 lbs. Not sure. No one else seems to care. Maybe I'm the real weird one???

Don't worry, at least one person must have thought you were menacing.

i owned a bro so hard earlier today. i was doing some mobility work and this guy who is a reg was doing various double dumbbell exercises, all with horrible form. he had asked me for a pen earlier and had a sheet of paper that had all sorts of color coding on it. so anyway after he worked out and left the gym i noticed the paper on the workout floor, i go pick it up and it's a P90X exercise guide, etc. lollolololololol. i put the paper behind the desk in case he comes back.

a few minutes later he does indeed come back, looks around the gym floor and asks me if i have seen the sheet, i told him i ripped it up and threw it in the trash, he looks at me crazy and asks me why??? so i tell him:

"dude, muscle confusion! you can't follow a written out program and expect muscle confusion to work!"

he looks slightly puzzled and angry, then i tell him "just kidding it's over there behind the desk".

Saw another case of bros curling in the squat rack. I get the sense that this practice is here to stay, unless there's a ****ing sign.

Bros gonna bro.

Saw a kid doing box squats with the "pad" on the bar, but he wasn't even going down to the damn box each rep lol. He then set the pins to the top level and did 3 inch ROM rack squats and bounced off the pins each rep. He was like 140lbs, white tank top, gold chain with a cross on it. I wanted to ask him wtf he was trying to accomplish and help him, but I learned my lesson on that ****.

I've seen people do that. They set a bench in the squat rack, and I'm like "Oh, you're going to do box squats?" and they're like "Nah, I just put it there to check my depth" ...then they don't get anywhere near touching it.

I guess "check my depth" means "make sure I don't go too low since it's all bad for my knees and stuff".

I now simply work in with them. If they so much as blink when I ask, I say, "hey...if you want to curl in the squat rack, you have to let people who want to squat work in with you."

Some guy balked at this a few weeks ago so I asked him point blank why he needed a squat rack for curls. He had no answer so I worked in with him.

I just started workng out last year, and my effing joints couldn't stop cracking for maybe the first 2 weeks, I'm talking really loudly and painfully. So, one night at the library (in college, here) I'm on a computer doing some late night paper assignment and after I'm done I get^ to leave and my thigh or upper leg or something let's out this enormous *CRACK!!!* It's so shocking I stop for a second and look down, and the worst part of this is that, some hot chick was sitting at the computer right next to me, and now I was sanding right behind her.
I keep walking and stealthfully look back and could obviously tell she thought i had ripped ass.

feels bad man

Earlier this week, a guy put 7 plates on each side of the Smith machine and did (literally) 2" ROM squats.
