Today was brotastic bench Monday at my gym. At the bench next to mine, the spotting bro practically lifted the bar off the lifting bro, then said, "that was all you, bro!"

I tried not to laugh...at least not out loud.

Yeah I've seen the combo BP/Reverse row more than a few times. It is just ridiculous because it is like.....ummm how about you try putting on less weight so you can actually benefit from the lift??? They just psychologically want to think they are lifting more weight than they are.

Two observations from today.

The first was on the way in. An older guy was in front of me as we approached the gym entrance. Some women were approaching from the other direction. So, despite the rain, rather than going in he held the door for the first three women heading in. Fine, I thought to myself. I'd have done the same. However, he then made clear via his actions his intention to stand there and hold the door for a long line of men and women coming in, this despite there being ample gaps in the oncoming people -- and blocking me in the process. So, not wanting to get any wetter, I went around him and let him hold the door for me as well. Of course, he looked annoyed and tried to step in front of me, as if he was ahead of me or something. Needless to say, that didn't happen.

The second was in the locker room, where a guy dripping wet from the swimming pool wrung his shorts out on the (carpeted) locker room floor. He then wrung out his underwear on the floor as well!!!

Why did he wear his underwear in the pool? (I obviously don't expect you to have an answer for that.)

One more from gymidiots. I can't stop laughing/cringing:

OMG.... it's only a matter of time before this guy completely destroys his back. I'm amazed he can do that much weight so god awfully without having done so already.

It's not nearly as threatening looking as http://5z8.info/white-power-rides-up...lder-goats.mov and yet both links take you to the same video on youtube (http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=jdIJnJumzcw).

When the bros are out macking on girls and bragging about how much weight they can bench and are full of bluster and confidence because of their psychological self-delusions while we complain about how no one goes deep enough on lower back squats and go home and furiously flog the dolphin to victorias secret catalogues, then who's really winning???

What year is this again, 1985? In the age of the internet, why in the world would anyone use such an arcane, inadequate medium.

saw two HS kids in the gym today. one was doing pullups. the other was "assisting" by grabbing him around the waist and lifting him up.

While this may look awful, in reality its reasonable if they guy is only barely assisting him... the best thing for pull ups is pull ups and if you cant do them using bands, or something give you slight assist will help you better than doing pull downs or that retched machine thing ya kneel on

Saw something unbelievable today. Young kid, early 20s, around 160 lbs. tried to DL five plates per side. He had it raised on the lowest point of the support bars in the squat rack. He lifted it about 3 inches, maybe less, before letting it slam back down.

Before he was about to attempt it, a part of me said, "do the right thing. Say something to convince him to reconsider this." Then right after it was, "bros gonna bro," so I wanted to see what would happen.

Could be a legit rack pull attempt.

While some of these things you guys see are obvious bro/stupid stuff, a lot of it is or could be legitimate training. Think some of these through before you rush to post them, they may be legit!

This isn't as bad as that previous DL put up but my thought process was, "oh well his back is definitely rounded but that's pretty normal...WTF? Why would you do that?"

Failing on the standup is pretty boggling to me.

Someone mentioned it's spammers or weirdos who sell their accounts to spammers. Just flag them imo.
