Mines a minute from my house. They freaking closed at 4 on Friday and won't open again to Tuesday. I wish they would of said something about closing early on Friday, I went at 3:30 and saw the sign. Can't complain to much, there is never more than 10 people max in it, so makes working out easy.

Now that's absurd.

I take quite a while to do my squat sets....warmups, stretch, and then 3 worksets with a 8-10 break in between each one....well while I was squatting, some other guy was doing MULTIPLE sets of curls in the other squat rack...and he did these sets for the entire time I was squatting. I didn't bother counting, but it had to be at least 10 sets of curls, maybe as many as 15.

Some mouthbreather took the Oly bar to do curls on some raised platform (no clue what this thing is for... like its ******ed looking) in front of the mirror. I think he was all rage face when I stood in front of him on the Oly platforms. Then some huge gai changed out the bars.

Place is super ghey. DO NOT WANT. And expensive. And they have like dickbag discs as well. Place is super brotastic.

I'm only working out in dungeons in the future. If there is anything more advanced than a squat stand: DO NOT WANT.

My training partner keeps sending me these powerlifting vids of people doing suited sqats. I mock all of them, since its pretty gheymo to use smth purely for the purpose of lifting more weight. Atleast it was walkout and parallel. That WPO **** has barely nothing to do with a squat.

I feel the same way about bench shirts. In fact I felt the same way about the Dave Tate videos I just watched. How does using "technique" to artificially reduce ROM say anything for actual strength? It's all about the amount weight, I guess. I saw two guys benching 405 yesterday. When I say two guys, I mean it was a team lift of both the bencher and spotter. And the guy benching was not arched much, but his ROM looked to be about 40%. It tilts me to see this when I struggle with 145 doing 100% ROM and no spotter. Am I off base here?

what happened to your cool olympic gym with the strong people?

why are you focussing on oly lifts so much given that you aren't that strong and you are supposedly doing this stuff for vanity purposes?

They only train MWF which doesn't really work when I want to train in Sunday. I'm also in the process of switching to get coached by Mirkko. I'll go train with him and Erik tomorrow. Erik does strong gai stuff and has a Oly squat just south of 5 bills. Mirkko only has a 337 total. So he's retiring to just coach nubs like me.

I want to focus on the Oly lifts because I want to total 200 and then reassess if I want to try for anything more impressive. I also want to look like a lightweight Olytard, and I have found little compelling evidence that the best way to look like a specific type of athlete is anything other than training like that specific type of athlete.

Though thanks for your always silly questions.

He's ****** fast.

ETA: I've completely given up on any self-directed snatch work. I'm too ******ed. I need someone to coach me. Cleans... atleast I can un****** fairly quickly even when I'm being a mouthbreather.
