If nothing else, Bruiser deserves some serious credit for his ability to take abuse.

Today in between sets, I'm looking right in the direction of an old guy in way too small, white nylon running shorts. He gets onto the back hyperextension equipment and all the sudden BAM! Giant ****stain. So ****ing disgusting.

Wait, was the ****stain there to begin with, or did it generate before your eyes? Gym-bound scatogenesis is srs bzns.

I think it was already there. It just wasn't visible when I was initially checking out his sweet shorts.

As if by magic they have moved the pull-up machine and slightly widened the gap between the two racks, although they are still very close together... IRL people have been stalking me on 2p2 lately... Now it seems the gym manager is too!

I go to the gym today. Instant depression as they have tuned the radio to the ****ty love songs show on **** FM. So I decide to try this whole working out with an Ipod thing. It's damn good.

Also, I had to wait for the squat rack, but it was totally OK because it was for a cute blonde woman who was using it to do ATG front squats. I'm in love.

I had the displeasure the other day of some guy un-racking my 75 lbs barbell I was using for OH Squats at the RDL station. When I informed him that I was using it, he accused me of using it for curls. I found it pretty amusing.

My recent pet peeve has really been people not unracking their weights. This morning I decided to be nice and do some cleanup between sets, including removing 270 lbs from a squat machine I never use. Whoever left that much weight on a machine is a gigantic douche.

The most common way I am inconvenienced at my gym is a loaded barbell left in the power cage on top of the safety bars. So, even though it may be right about the right weight for me to squat (disregarding that I like to warmup with the bar), I still have to unload the thing to move it up because someone felt like using it for shrugs or something and not putting to bar back where it belongs. Although, often when its left on the pins, they are set too low for me, so I may have unload to reset the pins, so in the end, an empty bar is almost always preferred. Luckily we have 2 power cages, but I still run into loaded bars on both at least 1 of my 3 weight days.

a couple weeks ago some guy had loaded all of the 45´s onto the leg press machine and onto some other similar machine. in all i think it was 20 different 45 pound weights he left on two machines. and he left them there and was doing the bench press or something. pretty funny

If you are wearing a black lace thong, and have a rocking body DO NOT bitch about people staring at you. There are plenty of sweat pants and billowing shirts that will hide your rock hard abs, curvy ass and perky breasts so that I will just have to imagine them when I feed the cat.

Yeah it's pretty LOL when girls do this and get an attitude. Reminds me of a Chris Rock line that goes something like, "You may not be a whore, but you're wearing the uniform."

Atleast she understands that I don't want to view any panty lines when she is bending over doing some ******ed sculpting exercise for her upcoming fitness pageant or whatever.

PS: Feed the cat isn't my own personal invention more of a group Ridin_Dirtay effort.

one of my favorite gym stories:

this is from a long time ago, like 15 years ago, when i had my first job at a health club. this is back when chicks wore biker shorts with a thong leotard over them, or a spandex bodysuit with a thong over the top, it was awesome. we had a water fountain between the free weight area and the cardio section, and next to the water fountain was a window into the aerobics room.

now from 5:30-8:30 on mon thru wed that window possessed a view into a room of about 20-40 of the hottest women you would likely see in your lifetime. this was basically really the only major health club in austin texas, and was insanely popular. some of you may have heard what the women here are like or you may not have, but they are pretty great. we had the UT dance team use our aerobic room, etc. it was very nice. so basically just tons of hot chicks always around.

so anyway there is an aerobic class going on one day and the usual hot chicks are in there, along with a couple avg/mediocre chicks and a couple of ug's as well. i see a couple guys getting a drink from the water fountain, they look in the room, but don't really gawk or stare, and go about their business. a few minutes later this atrocious looking redheaded chick storms out of the aerobics room and comes up to the front desk and starts freaking about how she's tired of all these guys staring at her when she does aerobics. now she didn't say she was upset because they were looking into the room in general, but because they were STARING AT HER.

i go over to look into the room and see where she was stationed or whatever you would want to call it. and she is right between this blonde chick named heather who was captain of the UT dance team and 2 other chicks who were easily 9's, all barely dressed and with ridiculous bodies. yet the guys were staring at the mediocre chick with a big t shirt and baggy shorts, who pretty much looked like a guy, haha yeah right lady.

some self awareness FTW.

ok that was way too TL DR and probably not that amusing but it always reminds me that some people are delusional.

i used to work with this roided up ex bodybuilder who was possibly the funniest person i've ever met, often accentuated by cocaine, whatever roids he was cycling at the time, and lack of sleep. he was a nice guy, he once punched someone so hard their eye came out of its socket, he then stomped on it. one day these chicks came up and said, "hey robbie, its too hot in the leg room." to which he replied, "well then you better train arms, its not like you've been here in the last week anyway".

I started working out a month ago, doing SS. I've encountered two "trainers" at the Y I work out in (closest gym + squat rack + bumper plates = best option). One's a woman probably in her late 40s. I saw her doing 1/8 squats. Cheating depth is one thing, but this wasn't even close. Really pathetic.

Then this big guy, who I had seen before but didn't know he worked there because he's always just doing some really light work on a big ball. He starts watching me practice power cleans from the hang position, then some bar-only full PCs. So I ask him if he knows anything about them. "Yeah, you got an interesting style. Why are you jumping?"

sigh.

lol, i've been doing the mp3 thing to workout for, christ it has to be 7 years or so?

i find that i derive a lot of snap from certain music- and use it to power through a lot of stuff. Plus it saves me from mindless babble with gym goers.

so you just run your headphones up your shirt? I've thought about doing but I was worried I'd end up tangling something up and getting FUBAR.
