Lift felt good. I took the week off to let my foot rest and it didn't bother me today so that's a good sign. I'm not going to run or play bball on it until my rec league starts next sunday. I also started taking a multivitamin and fish oil, could just be placebo but I felt like I had more energy for this lift than recent ones.

First set of work squats were aids, I felt light headed after the 3rd rep and i think i was seeing stars so decided to stop. I got some water and felt fine for the next 3 sets. Ohp felt good, pretty sure I would have gotten it with more rest. I have my first rec league bball game tonight, still unsure if I'm going to play because of my foot, haven't tried doing anything in my bball shoes so I hope they give me enough support...

Foot felt fine. Lifted by myself and didn't trust anyone in there to spot correctly so I decided to just do 145 again and do extra sets, they all felt good.

Had my first rec league game last night which we won by ~15. The stats aren't up on the website yet, when they come out I'll post them.

First rec league game-
We won 58-37. I know three guys on this team coming into the season, bobbo and two other guys we have played with in previous seasons. Of course bobbo and one of the other guys I know weren't there so I knew 1/6 of the other guys. We have a couple really good players who are both very skilled offensively, one had 24 and 8rb, the other had 10 6rb 9ast. We have one true big guy and a couple lanky 6'2ish guys who can play big. I started off at PG and was just kind of feeling my way around playing with a bunch of new players. I think i'm probably the 2nd best guard on our team after Danny (who started the team/guy bobbo and I know from other teams) so I'll likely be starting PG for the season with Danny at the SG. Looking forward to the season, our team played very well together, we might lack a little size against some of the bigger teams but offensively we should be fine.

Neck has been acting up, I think it's because I've been getting awful sleep. My gf was saying that I scrunch my neck when sleep, it hurts whenever I wake up and try to move and I can only sleep for an hour or two before I have to change position. Maybe shouldn't have lifted on it but meh, I'll live

Took the month off to try to heal from my injuries (neck/foot), neither one is 100% but I think they're both improving so I decided to start lifting again. I'm gonna take it easy and start off light with everything. Squats felt great today, don't think I've ever done 10 reps of any weight before so that was cool, probably could have gone for 15 if I really wanted to push myself. Ohp was a bit of a struggle, but everything else felt normal.

Our bball team is 4-0 with an avg margin of victory of like 18 (thanks a lot to winnig last night by ~50). My scoring is way down this season from ~8ppg and probably 9FGa to like 3ppg and 1.5FGa. This is due to our team being a lot better than in past seasons, I'm probably our 4-5th best shooter where I was usually top 2-3. My foot injury has also really slowed me down because I'm not able to jump as much or be very explosive with the ball. I also cant play much during the week to get myself into better shape and get more confidence in my shot. Hopefully as my foot improves I'll become more aggressive on court and look for my own shot or drives more often.

We lost our first game of the season (4-1) last night to the only other undefeated team coming into the week. They had a couple inches on us at every position except PG so they dominated us on the boards and blocked a bunch of our drives. We were missing our biggest guy, he's not super skilled or anything but he would have been able to keep their bigs off the Oboards better and would have kept our remaining bigs our of foul trouble.

Our best player had his worst game of the season by far, he usually averages 19pts 5rb 1ast 2st 1blk but he had 3pts, 5rb, 2ast 2stl which would be fine for a roll player but pretty brutal when he's taking like 12 shots, had a bunch of TO and was our worst defender the whole night and guarding their 2nd best big. I had an ok game, 2pts 1/2fg (0/1 3pt) 3rb 1ast and a block and steal they didn't count. I think I played very solid defense on a guy who was much bigger/stronger than me (only an inch or so taller). He was 1/~4 while I guarded him

Squats felt great, probably could have gone for 12 reps on that last set but I was planning on doing a full DL workout so I didn't want to push it too hard. Moved on to DLs and my legs were shaking pretty hard anytime i tried to bend them so I stopped after 195. I was hoping I'd be able to do squat/dl in one day every week because I'm not around the good gym very often so I usually only get one chance to use it/week. Ohp felt pretty good, neck felt fine throughout everything.

DFII is back in beantown and we went to the gym together today, he noticed I was starting way too low on my dl so I started pulling from higher and they felt good, was a bit winded on the last set otherwise I could have finished 5 ez. Bench was good, I usually warm with a bit smaller increases but w/e, Nathan said don't be a bitch so I listened

Things felt pretty good, back flared up a few times during squats. I think i'm going to go see a doctor soon about it. The pain is focused in the middle of my back on the right side most of the time, my gf (massage therapist) thinks it might be a pulled muscle, i'm hoping that's all it is

We had our playoffs for our re league start last Sunday, we won out first game in a blowout, I didn't score (0/3 I think) but had 8rb (4off) like 4 ast block and a steal. Our semifinal game was yesterday and did not go so well... I had a solid game, I scored 6pts all on layups (3/4), probably 4rb and 3ast (stats for our game haven't been posted, so those #s are from memory). I started the game on the bench which is probably correct since our other combo guard graham has been playing pretty well this year hitting a lot of 3s, getting a lot of steals and not having too many TOs. I think I'm a better player when 100% healthy and when I've been playing more than once a week (at best).

We started off the game keeping it close and held the lead for a bit around 12-9, by the time I got in the game we were down by 3, I played basically til the last 2 minutes of the 1st half since I was playing well and we ended the half down 5. Bobbo and I both started on the bench in the 2nd half and that's when they went on a brutal run to put us down by over 20. Bobbo and I came in and played well and got the lead back down to 8 at one point but couldn't get it all back and lost by 9. Bobbo was saying we were +/- warriors, lol, very true though.

Season was meh, I really liked the guys and the way we played together, for the most part. We definitely could have won that game and challenged for the title, although the team we lost to and #1 seed were both dry solid teams so it would have taken some luck to win it all

Found a new gym down near my gf's place that has 3 squat racks and 3 benches so I can finally get back into a normal gym rhythm..hopefully. Squats felt great despite not having my squat shoes. Ohp felt awful, I'm gonna call the doctor this week to see what's wrong with my back. On most of my "heavy"reps at the ends of the sets I would dip down on my right side while the left went up first and it made it hurt even more. Back didn't feel great with curls or rows after that either but weren't too bad

Got a quick massage on my back from the gf before lifting and then foam rolled for a little bit at the gym too. I think both really helped and I didn't feel much discomfort while doing ohp. Squats felt good like usual. Everything else was standard.

I got my gf to come to the gym with me today and I'm gonna try to get her to start doing some SS stuff. She did squats today, 45x5x2 50x5 55x5x3 with very good form and going slightly below parallel on most of the reps. Now that I have someone to go to the gym with down at her place I'll get some videos up for form critique

Tweaked something in my right shoulder last workout back on the east coast so decided to take a week off. It came at a good time because I wouldn't have been able to lift much as I was traveling to Vegas for the summer and moving from hotel to the house we're renting and playing a couple tournaments (0/2 so far :/). Shoulder felt perfectly fine today and I'm looking forward to the rest of the summer out here in Vegas

So no pain during lifting and it didn't feel weak doing any of the lifts, but now (6hrs after lifting) I'm feeling some pain when I reach for things semi-awkwardly with my arm. Not sure if I should take more time off or just I've a bunch and keep going
