Kc, you seem to be on to something. It's quite interesting, but very sad that this is pretty true, I guess it's due to people being in more serious relationships that take up more time and more focused on their careers. I've been pretty close to my friends since college but I've definitely noticed more distance being created between us as the years have gone by. I think that's part of what makes it easier to consider moving away, but it would still suck a lot not to see them for months at a time

I don't mean that, but yes, you obv start seeing people less and less so don't hold off life plans for that sorta stuff. Plus you'll be living in a destination city and they'll come visit.

Seriously though, the move to Vegas would be great for you. It would be sad for me, but it's absolutely the right thing for you. Should be awesome.

Played a ****ty little course yesterday, par 70 and super short, shot 82 (41-41) but hit it like absolute ****. Finally got it going the last two holes when I found something in my swing. Might try and play again today to see if I can gain some momentum with my game

You right. Went out and shot 90...played great for a 5 hole stretch where I was -1 with two other birdie putts I missed under 15ft. Rest of the round I was completely out of it. I was duck hooking and blocking shots all over the place, will probably hit the range a few times this weekend before I play again.

Rested a little longer for dl and ohp but wim was not there. Didn't get much sleep last night which might have messed me up today, meh.

Shot a 75 yesterday, lowest round of the year by 7 shots...course was very short and not too tough but I'm still happy to get down in the 70s again.
Pequot golf club- par 70 5903yds 68.5/121 from the tips lol. Cheap course and easy which is good for my gf who is just starting out but is already close to breaking 100

Played Richmond country club today from the tips, par 72 6,826yds 72.1/121. The course was in pretty good condition besides a few of the greens being completely burnt out in a few places. My inconsistency off the tee made it difficult to score well today and it was also my first time there so I had no local/prior knowledge. Ended up shooting an 89 (47-42) with 38 putts. The green speeds felt inconsistent and I never got used to them even though I felt I was making good putts and the right reads. Need to get to the range this week and really work on the driver

Didn't have my lifting shoes but squats felt pretty good, bench was good too but didn't have a spot so couldn't go for the last rep, pretty sure I wouldn't have gotten it. Everything else standard.

Didn't go to the gym at all on vacation last week, played golf a few times tho. I played one round really well, I was +2 on the 8th hole at farm neck (par 72 6301yds 70.5/133) with a 5 footer left for par when there was lightning and we had to call it a day. The second time we played there I shot 44 on the front 9 and then we kind of sped around the back 9 and skipped holes to get in as many holes as we could before dark so I didn't keep score. Today I had a great 9 hole round, shot 36 at elm ridge in stonington, ct- par 35 3004yds 70.8/115. Finally starting to feel good about my swing and game. The gf also had a great round, her lowest round ever of 49...not bad for only picking up the game back in may

So I'm gonna be moving to Vegas in October and I've been super busy and haven't had much time to hit the gym lately. I've got a lot of stuff to get done before we head out so I'm going to try to get to the gym 2 days a week and then once I get settled out there I'll probably get back to 3-4 days/week.

Still playing/practicing golf a decent amount. I've been using this website called grint.com that tracks golf scores/stats and gives you a handicap. I'm at a 6 with an average score of 82 so far, not enough rounds to have a legit handicap though. I'm averaging 34 putts and 43% GIR (greens in regulation). Luckily in Vegas we'll be able to play all year round so I'm gonna try to get my avg score close, if not under 80 and my handicap to 5 by the end of the year.

Played Winnapaug CC today from the blues (6391 par 72 70.6/124) and shot an 81 (41-40) with 43% tee shot accuracy, 61% GiR and 37 putts. Course was short but a decent layout, not many dinky little holes like some other courses in the area and a few holes close to the water.

Squats felt good, everything else was pretty meh. WIM was low today, probably had something to do with really weird sleep last night (8pm-11pm then 8am-2pm...)

Played a few rounds of golf recently, one at meadow brook in RI, course was very tough and long (just under 7100yds) and the wind was a consistent 15-30mph, I was very frustrated all day and shot an 89. Played two other rounds at elm ridge which has been pretty much my home course lately and shot 84 and 38. I've been working on my driver/3wood a lot and my dad gave me a good pointer that I was sliding too much on the downswing instead of just turning through the ball and that immediately corrected all the balls I was losing way right.

(Life blog time)

So I moved out to Vegas with my gf...left last Sunday and got into town Wed afternoon. We stopped in Chicago and Grand Junction, Co on the way there and had a pretty solid road trip. Our new apt is decent, we had to buy a bunch of furniture out here and had to sleep on the floor for a couple nights before our new bed delivered which sucked. Everything is good so far, I haven't played any poker yet since we've been so busy getting stuff for the apt, playing golf and hanging out with our friends who made the road trip with us. We played two rounds of golf so far (85 and 43, meh) since we're slightly obsessed.. and I finally made my first gym appearance in 3 weeks. Looking forward to playing some poker in the next few days and getting my feet wet here, it's also very nice to have to option to just grind some mid stakes online if I don't feel like leaving the house.
