No misses. Snatch starting to get back.

Clean & Jerk
2x135,2x185,205
235,250,260,270xx

This was pretty odd. First one I lost back tightness on the pull and bar path was probably all out in front, so I had terrible positions. 2nd one I just clarked.

Then went and drank/ate approximately 5000 kcals. I was supposed to max out again this AM, but lol at that. I'll try to remember to do it tomorrow.

Programmed to max snatch and I was feeling fast and loose. 215 felt easy so I made a 20# jump. Prob should've just made a 10# jump instead. I dropped back down to hit 215 then attempt 225 and was a little ruined mentally.

Clean & Jerk
2x165,2x185,205

Failed clean at 275 and 295. Should've taken video but phone was dead.

It's the 8 week one Hartman sends you for signing up to the newsletter. But just the last couple weeks. Today starts mock competition week and then next week will be the actual week 1.

I just need to find my digicam and use it. I can record much longer video and it's easier to deal with. Only drawback is no wifi so I can't upload directly and have to xfer to computer then upload.

Ah cool, gl.

If a miracle occurs and I am able to run this 24-week next 8 weeks brogram to completion, I may add that 8-week comp prep onto the end. Or Fortis. I like the Hartman programming very much so far though from what I've read and done, with the caveat of having a very limited sample size of actually doing much, yet. I think it will get me some solid PR(s?) this year though.

I should buy that Fortis, but I'm not too worried about it until after the competition. I really like his programming as well and will probably continue to try to use them regularly.

P.S. Where did you get the 24 week program? I can't seem to find it.

You should be fine for 85, ya? gl. I actually like walking a lot.

Re: brogram, purchased via Hartman's blog for ~$30 iirc. Looks like the blog is down, so I can't find the link. Fortis is now available via Kindle though, so maybe he's moving stuff over to Amazon? Idk.

I'm still hovering around 90 in the AM every day and I'm 9 weeks out from comp. So, ya I should be good as long as I don't sabotage myself. Though the GF gets back from Europe 2 weeks before the competition, so I want to give myself a little room for ****ing up towards the end for obv reasons.

http://doctorhartman.blogspot.com/ is working but the regular address isn't. I'm buying Fortis but I doubt I end up reading it until next month.

Yeah, I can't find the link to the next 8 weeks anywhere. Maybe I bought the last copy. (jk, it's a PDF. My guess is he's repackaging it for Amazon, maybe at a lower price.)

Fortis at $8 is a no brainer though, I'll buy it just to take a look.

Supplements/wrapping/joint specific mobility work/other?
Supplements- Fish oil, alternate between ibuprofen and naproxen sodium on days where I'm feeling sore

Wrapping- Only wear knee sleeves (http://store.hookgrip.com/shop/blue-...-knee-sleeves/ or http://www.amazon.co.uk/White-Stripe...dp/B007ML5ZU0/ (think there's only 1 per order on amazon tho)) ETA: forgot about my wrist wraps. I use this cloth wrist wrap on my left wrist and it seems to help a bit http://www.muscledriverusa.com/MDUSA...ps_p_2676.html

Joint specific mobility work- My warmup is basically this: Cressey foam roll -> Russian Joint warm up -> Sit in bottom of squat with barbell on back for 1m -> Fleming Snatch Imitation Complex (though I am only doing these in groups of 5 atm since I can't complete the whole thing at 6 reps per). If I have any other issues which exist for more than a week or so, I thumb through the Supple Leopard and find some stuff in there to fix what ails me.

Walk 3.12 miles in 1h5m

Walked about 1 mile to the beach then walked about .5 mile on the beach and I'm not doing that **** again. I'd either have to walk through the soft sand which is exhausting and defeats the purpose of walking as a means of calorie burn, or walk near the water on a slope which ****s my hip up.

Keep in mind I know less than jack **** about this stuff, but isn't your left shoulder not as mobile as your right? Seems like the bar was a little further forward overhead in that direction for all of the snatches.

Good stuff as always, though; will continue to follow in silent ignorance from now on.

You know, I never really paid much attention to the shoulder but it certainly does look that the left doesn't have the same range as right. I'll mess around with the 5 way shoulder mob before today's session.
