I think you pointed me towards Fortis at one point and I tried it. I'd have to check how it went then since I don't remember.

It's going pretty well now though. I am getting solid recovery and despite squatting a lot of volume last week, I felt fine the next day.

I have access to the gym any time of the day, so for the most part I never even see him. It's only on random days where my schedule is hectic and I can't get in an early lift that he's there. Honestly, the worst part is that he likes to get into discussions about politics. We share similar views on most topics too, but just stop ****ing politarding at the gym.

You make a good point about fat people.

IMO, there were a lot of "newbie" gains to be had here after the short break with the move + laziness. I just needed some prescribed volume and a known path to walk down. I need to find another program to follow after this, or walk the strange An American in Bulgaria path again. I enjoy that general training style and really like lifting frequently.

Snatch just felt broken, which is obviously no bueno for a rhythm lift.

Failed jerk on both attempts but made clean, even on 2m rest for the second attempt.

This was supposed to be more like a "Mock Competition", but I felt pretty terrible in general. My stomach was acting up and I had no energy. My right knee was also feeling a little tweaked.

This week's taper was also very terribly programmed. I need to hit ~90% for a few singles leading up to the meet, but I just went with the program and didn't really think about it. I perform much better in general with a little bit of intensity.

All in all, a ****ty performance.

Now I need to figure out some programming and consider a cut.
