rep 4 i thought you were going to fall over... ur feet are planted solid, but it just looked like it might be coming.
also it's a lot more weight than i've ever squatted and ur not much bigger than me - my brain thinks you should get smushed under the bar

Ha, no it wasn't that bad in terms of me falling forward. I have had reps where I actually had to take a step forward to save it.

Sharp pains in my ****ty shoulder while my arm was barely swinging while walking. F

I'm running out of ideas. This is obviously because of benching last night. 205 was heavy, and a couple reps were ****ty, in that they did not hit low enough on my chest. idk. Just took the lax to my pec but idk if it will help much. This was a sharp pain like something being pinched. Not sure how many nerve endings tendons have but if they do its probably my bicepital tendon being shredded.

This may be totally unrelated... but...

A while back I had calcific tendinitis. Most of the time I would be fine, but some actions would result in seriously sharp, stabbing pain. Things like reaching out were the worst, but even when walking, etc it would happen.

Mine was caused by a blow, but I think it can be caused my many things, even something as simple as sleeping on it wrong.

I had an ultrasound and x-ray and they gave me a cortisone injection and stabbed me with a needle and it basically snap-fixed it.

I don't think there's any calcification. I had an ultrasound done last year, and the doc didn't see much besides a pocket of fluid. Getting the steroids might work, but idk really. I'm gonna do more research. Thx for the idea.

Car is in the shop, so I worked out at home. Raining so I did it in the living room... on carpet. Unstable surface training ftw?

Press
1x10x45
1x5x65
1x3x85
1x3x105
3x5x125

Also, no rack so I had to clean everything first.

Front Squat
1x10x45
1x5x95
1x5x135
1xFx165
2x5x135

Failed the clean at 165. Rest was easy obv.

Do you do much SMR work on your rotator cuffs? I'd recommend investigating in all of those areas since it seems you're loosening your pec up well enough.

Idk exactly what I get, i just lax all over the place. I don't do it regularly tho.

I do have an appointment with a local ART provider on monday though. I am pretty skeptical that it will actually do anything in the long run, but we'll see.

I know I just end up trolling your log, but how do you squat so good? It's amazing.

The key is doing a lot of high rep calf raises.

Ahhh, so this is why the calf raise machine is next to the squat rack at my gym.

First day back in the gym after ~1 week due to car/shoulder trouble.

Squat
1x10x45
1x5x45
1x5x135
1x3x225
1x2x275
5x5x305

Warm ups felt really good, so I picked up where I left off instead of repeating. This was heavy, as expected.

Bench Press
1x10x45
3x5x95

Had my first ART/Graston session this morning. At this point I am still skeptical that it will accomplish anything but make me poorer, one $40 co-pay at a time. Going back on Friday.

Concentration Curl
Left:
1x10x20
2x10x30
Right:
1x10x20
2x10x30

EZ-Bar Curl
1x10x42
1x10x62
1x10x42

Muahahahaha two types of curls in one day. Y'all better hide your women.

1x5x135
1x3x225
1x2x255
2x5x270

Press
1x10x45
1x5x65
1x3x95
1x2x115
3x5x127.5

Heavyish.

Power Snatch
6x1x20kg
3x1x40kg
2x1x50kg
1x1x55kg
1x1x60kg
1x1x65kg
1x1x70kg (PR)

Someone donated a pretty new Eleiko bar to the gym, and some small Eleiko plates. Clearly the reason why I hit this.

2nd p. snatch looked really good.

1st one your hips went up fast and your shoulders were in front of the bar prematurely.

+ congrats on somebody DONATING an eleiko bar. That's insane.

Yeah I noticed that in the first vid and tried to correct on the 2nd one. I tried to widen my knees out and started the bar a bit farther out away from me, so it didn't like suck in to my hips then shoot back out when I do the 2nd pull. Still not completly extending at the top, but w/e.

Bodyweight: 172.2

Squat
3x5x45
1x5x135
1x4x225
1x3x295
1x2x325
1x5x360 (PR)

Not bad. Guy watching me said I could have gotten 6-7, but obv I don't think so. My last squat 5rm PR stood for 455 days. I expect to get 365 next week, but I can see a change in programming on the horizon.

Now for the bad news...

Bench Press
5x10x45

Had my 2nd ART/Graston session this morning, so I did not want to risk messing anything up when the muscles are pretty beat up already. Just wanted to get some blood flowing.

Deadlift
1x5x135
1x3x225
1x2x315
2xFx365

lololololol. This was with straps and belt too.

LOL. That's actually impressive that you can squat that much but you can't pull that with straps and a belt. Do you just fail to get it off the floor or do you lose extension? What can you RDL?
