WIM Meter @ ~%65 and holding. Had thanksgiving leftovers before and after the gym which obv helped.

Squat
2x5x45
1x5x135
1x3x225
5x5x295

Didn't feel like warming up. I think my caffeine wore off after my 4th set, cus I was about to fall asleep while resting. My right knee hurts for some reason right now. I took ibuprofen, but I have never had this happen. I was wearing the tk bands for all squat sets.

@Khalyn: I think you jinxed me. My shoulder had never hurt while squatting until tonight. Felt sore/pressure in the same spot as my bench issue, while I was getting set to unrack the bar. Had to step out of the rack and swing my arm around a bit, but it felt fine for all subsequent attempts.

Power Clean
1x5x45
1x3x75
1x3x115
5x3x145

Form is good when I do hang cleans. Form is atrocious when I pull from the ground. Wish I had access to bumpers So I could pull <135 for the full ROM.

Recovery day.

Squat
2x5x45
1x5x135
1x5x225
2x5x260 (75% of 345)

Heavier than it should have been. I blame diet and caffeine (or lack thereof).

Press
2x25x45

Not a typo. Using the Bill Starr rehab protocol. Probably started with too much weight because this got heavy real quick. My injury is not very severe though, so I am not too worried. Going to take ibuprofen and ice it as well.

Dumbbell Row
Right:
1x10x50
1x21x100
Left:
1x10x50
1x18x100

Didn't feel like doing Pendlays for some reason. Idk...

From this point forward, numbers in bold will denote PRs.

Squat
4x5x45
1x5x205
1x3x275
1x2x315
1x5x345 (+5)
1x2x345

Probably could have gotten 3 in the bonus set, but w/e. Work set felt very good. First 3 reps were light as a feather. 4-5 had to grind a bit, but the bar speed did not diminish too greatly.

Press
6x10x45

Still attempting to "rehab" this POS shoulder.

Pull-Up
1x3x0
3x5x25

Barbell Curl
1x8x30
2x8x60
1x6x60

4x5x45
1x5x135
1x4x185
1x3x225
2x5x280

My left elbow felt a little weird after one of the sets. The bar shifted funny while I was unracking it. I was using the squat rack instead of the power cage that I normally use.

Press
1x15x45
6x10x55

w/e

Speed Deadlift
1x5x135
1x3x185
5x3x240 (+5)

Felt very good and very fast. Lockout was especially fast. Going to add 10 to conventional deadlift on Wednesday.

Really gotta stop drinking milk in the ~5 hour window before my workout. Either that or take like 10 lactase pills per glass.

Deadlift
2x3x135
1x3x225
1x1x315
1x4x375
1x2x375
1x5x225

Could have gotten 5 reps. I did not even attempt the 5th rep because I felt like my back had rounded on the 4th rep. I actually had a vietnam flashback to assani fishers dl video (no offense AF), and got scared and cut off the set. The 2 reps I pulled after that felt very good tho, with regard to back extension. I am too greedy with the increases I think so I will only increase by 5lbs next time and actually do it this time.

Bench Press
1x15x45
6x10x65
1x15x45
3x10x85

People look at me funny when I DL 375 then go bench 65, but w/e. I'm a reverse bro and proud of it.

Dumbbell Row
Right:
1x10x50
1x18x100
Left:
1x10x50

Not sure what was up with my right arm. A bit fatigued from all that 'benching' I guess.

This was discussed somewhere, but they are not like "strict" rows that start from the floor every rep. I guess they could be called kroc rows, but I am not even really sure what that means.

Wait... Is it weird that I find db rows where every rep touches the floor easier..?
Forever 5/3/1 Quote
12-09-2010 , 09:26 AM
It depends on the stretch required to put the DB on the floor. If you're doing them on a low bench and don't have to stretch far to put the DB down then I think that would be easier, but if the bench is high and there is a big stretch then yeah, you're a freak.

I am going to need to change my programming soon, or else you are going to see "Death by Volume" on my obituary.

Bench Press
1x10x45
1x10x85
5x10x105

Shoulder is tender.

Power Clean
2x3x45
4x3x95

Form sucks. Was gonna get a video, but my camera's batteries were dead. Put in my backup set of batteries and they too were dead.

Jerk
1x3x95
1x3x115

Just messing around. Felt good tho.

Slight lateral shift on the 4th rep. Not worried about it.

Shoulder hurt yesterday and today. GF thinks it could be related to my bicep tendon. Therefore, didn't do anything but squat. Going to squat two more workouts, for a 2x BW 5RM and then to test my 1RM. Then might take like a whole month off of anything remotely involving my shoulder. Maybe I'll become a cardiotard...

Video that ****. I think the only 2xBWx5 squat we've had here is Jaysick. I might go for it on Wednesday if I'm feeling good and I'll definitely video.

Have been traveling for the past week or so. Found a gym in Charlottesville, VA that had everything I needed. Had some kettlebells that I swung around and some rings that I did pull-ups on.

Squat
1x10x45
1x5x135
1x3x225
1x2x275
2x5x315

Deadlift
1x5x70kg
1x3x110kg
5x1x160kg

Gym had bumper plates, so I decided to mess around with them. Used chalk, pulled the first rep double over, and all the rest mixed.

Right back into it... Only going to squat from now til Jan 19th. Then not do any heavy lifting for ~2 months. (I know.) I tried doing the Starr rehab for my shoulder. I tried no press/bench for 2 months. I don't know what else to try besides giving it total rest (since I don't even know what is causing the pain.) I figure if it STILL hurts when I come back, then I'll go to the doctor. And yes I do realize that low bar squatting might be the cause of the pain, but I really want to test my 1rm to see my first year's progress.

Bodyweight: 180.2 - Due to an unintended holiday weight gain, I guess I will have to wait til next week to hit my 2x BW 5rm. Unless I can somehow lose 2.7 lbs before Friday.

Squat
1x10x45
2x4x135
1x3x225
1x2x255
5x5x302.5 (85% of 355, +2.5)

I would be lying if I said this wasn't heavy.

It seems like you have become a squat bro. Out of curiosity why have you waited so long to see a doctor. From what I know about shoulder injuries (mostly reading stuff KyleB and Cha say, if it hasn't started to get better on its own by a certain point, it probably isn't going to).

Also, from my own experiences there is a good chance you will not get a G4S speed turnaround from your doc (MRI right away) and you may have to waste a lot of time following the HMO playbook once you do start going to a doctor.
