Chocolate Royale Cheesecake

what you need

1-1/2 cups Oreo Baking Crumbs
1/4 cup butter, melted
3 pkg. (250g each) Philadelphia Brick Cream Cheese, softened
3/4 cup sugar
1 pkg. (225 g) Baker's Semi-Sweet Chocolate, melted, cooled
1/4 cup hazelnut-flavored liqueur (optional)
3 eggs
1 Tbsp. icing sugar (optional)
1/3 cup berries, blueberries, strawberries and raspberries (optional)
make it

PREHEAT oven to 350°F. Mix crumbs and butter; press firmly onto bottom of 9-inch springform pan.

BEAT cream cheese and sugar in large bowl with electric mixer on medium speed until well blended. Add chocolate and liqueur; mix well. Add eggs, 1 at a time, mixing on low speed after each addition just until blended. Pour over crust.

BAKE 45 to 50 min. or until centre is almost set. Run knife or metal spatula around rim of pan to loosen cake; cool before removing rim of pan. Refrigerate 4 hours or overnight. Top with icing sugar and mixed berries just before serving. Store leftover cheesecake in refrigerator.

Protein Sludge

This is one of my go-to breakfasts while cutting. Much more satisfying for me than pounding down a shake. Takes less than 5 min. to make.

Ingredients
-8oz. Chiobani fat free greek yogurt
-1 fat free pudding cup
-1 scoop (30g) whey protein
-90g frozen blueberries
-50g frozen strawberries
-3/4c Fiber One Chocolate cereal
-3/4c Captain Crunch cereal

To Prepare:
In a large bowl, combine the greek yogurt, pudding, and whey powder. Add a tablespoon or two of water and mix with a spoon until you get the consistency you like (it doesn't take much water at all). Add in the blueberries, strawberries, Fiber One cereal, and Captain Crunch. Eat with a spoon and enjoy!

Macros: 51p/88c/3f/561 cal.

Alternatives
You can add/take away anything you want to these sludge bowls. Days that I want less carbs in the morning, I'll use less cereal, or eliminate the pudding. If I want some fat early on, melting 1-2 tbs of peanut butter and drizzling on the base is SOOOOOOO good.

Taco Salad

Since I usually need more protein and less carbs by the time I reach my dinner, I found it easier to throw all this stuff in a bowl than to try to pack 2 taco shells with tons of food.

Ingredients
-8oz. 93% Lean ground beef
-1 packet Ortega taco seasoning
-1/4c Coyote Joe's Mexican Blend Cheese
-2 Old El Paso crunchy taco shells
-1/4c Old El Paso medium salsa
-1-2c Hearts of Romaine lettuce

To Prepare:
Brown the ground beef over medium heat. I tend to cook a pound at a time and save half for the next day. Add 3/4c water and the packet of taco seasoning once the beef is cooked/brown. Let the beef soak up the seasoning & drain excess water if necessary. Pour the beef into a large bowl. Top with the cheese first so it melts onto the beef. Add the salsa, and lettuce. Crunch up the taco shells and throw on top.

Macros: 57p/24c/24f/563 cal.

Alternatives:
If you like beans, throw 'em in! I had this recently for dinner, but with 12oz. ground beef and double the cheese. REAL tasty.

Ha, busto-- that sludge has changed my life. But seriously, I'm cutting on 2,000 calories and eating this in the morning as opposed to a shake with berries and peanut butter is MUCH better for me. Plus it takes me like 15 minutes to eat, so I FEEL like I'm getting more food.

That is a good point! I'll see if I can scrounge up similar ingredients. Sounds tasty.

Noobish of me not to realize it, but I was surprised by how different foods satisfy my hunger regardless of caloric intake. If I have a protein shake (400 cals), I'm hungry in the next hour. If I eat a bowl of Special K (200 cals), I'm fine for the morning. At least until I go to the gym.

Welcome to the concept of caloric density.

Regarding protein sludge, I've been following this thread for the past couple weeks to help tweak sludges of my own: http://forum.bodybuilding.com/showth...hp?t=130308703

EDIT: I guess I should chime in and say I have 2 sludges I've been making consistently, both are 240g fage + 1 scoop whey + cereal. One is cinnamon swirl cellucor + cinnamon cereal and the other is cookies n cream cellucor + double chocolate Krave.

I eat sludge before bed sometimes. Ain't got time for all that fancyness.

Instant oatmeal + protein powder + a few craisins + water = eats

I have some ON whey protein that is decidedly non-nomzie and some way (get it!) more expensive yummy protein. I've started mixing half and half just to get rid of the crappy tasting whey w/o throwing it out.

I found some old threads similar to that one, but maybe even it was that one that I saw that got me thinking. Tomorrow I think Reese's Puffs are going on top

I used to order ON all the time, but then found that my gym sells a house brand for like almost half the price of a 5 lb. tub of ON whey so I started using that. Most of the time I have other stuff mixed in, and the taste alone isn't bad.

Roasted Sweet Potatoes:

I love sweet potatoes and have made them a zillion ways but this is my favorite.

Recipe:

Preheat oven to 400

In large bowl combine
4lbs sweet potatoes, peeled, cubed about .5x.5x.5"
40g olive oil by weight. I do it by weight since OO sticks to everything. 40g by weight is about 3tbsp.

Mix these around so that the OO coats everything. Then add:
1 Tbsp Black Pepper
1 Tbsp Garlic Powder
1.5-2 Tbsp Salt

Mix them around until everything is coated evenly. Empty into large baking dish and bake for 75 minutes. Stir/mix after 50mins.

Could be that my oven sucks peen but I feel like after about 45 mins they are still too hard for my taste. I like them soft all the way through, but not mushy, and 75 mins seems to do the trick for me. 4lbs is a lot of taters so a smaller batch should require less cooking.

BTM, words can't express how happy it made me to read your measurement of OO in weight rather than volume.

I'd post some recipes, but I'm a ****ty cook and mostly just throw random **** that meets my macros in a pan and mix it around in a big bowl with shredded lettuce and calorie-free sauce.
