Seriously, A+ work by Team 2+2 in that DL thread.

I particularly liked "You always post like there's 2 lbs of sand stuck in your vag."

^ this. Nice work guys. I was going to comment about the difference between KK and the clown in question's form, but Colin said what I was thinking. No sense beating a dead horse.

Yeah I have wanted to chip in a few comments here and there but KC and miles are too good of a tag-team. Don't want to dilute the flow.

What you said in those posts was very well put. Before I got to what you said it was what I was sort of thinking, but wasn't very sure, and had no idea how to say it.

I was going to come back here and ask some questions in the beginner thread but Miles answered them all in that thread.

And I was thinking, I bet when he saw his lifts, he knew that it wasn't very good and would try to change. Not only was that true, but he made several posts that he wanted to fix his form (that Miles directly pointed out). And then he switches attitude to "zomg PR whatever works."
02-04-2010 , 02:37 AM
It was as well put as it will be totally ignored by the two.

They might not/probably not respond online, but I'd imagine the point got through

got a PM from a guy who posts there

Making me and another poster who will remain anonymous laugh. I didn't feel like getting into it with Cmanuel, but you are exactly correct, while a very strong kid, he went from "okay, I realize I have a form problem" to "LOL PEOPLE WHO CRITICIZE ME ARE PUSSIES." A very quick bro-ification.
02-04-2010 , 02:44 AM
What's today? Miles won today. Mark it down.

i knew when i made my first point that even these idiots wouldn't be able to beat my argument. ripping on *** nisora is just icing on the cake. i hope he responds to this:

and nisora, please let me know the lift thresholds i need to meet in order to be posting stuff like this. i weigh 250lb, so throw some numbers at me and i'll let you know if i am strong enough. while you're at it, also let me know the thresholds are to be like you. you know, someone not strong enough to actually critique a lift but just strong enough to call other people out on their critiques.

I would like to tout my awesomeness for prognosticating the increasing height in 70sBig squats. I could make 10lbs jumps to like 500 if I could do Chaos and Pain style squats (Epic awesome calling them quarter squats btw).

Regardless, I could understand high squats for form issues (like the person magically becomes a ****** in the last 3 inches), but this is insanity IMO. Not to mention there should be actual tangible reasons why you're cutting depth, like "He is a ****** who loses lumbar extension and knee caves every time. I'm currently kicking him in the nuts each time it happens and it should solve this problem."

On the topic of bad form with squats, I think Chakarov has a noticeable hitch and really silly knee movement when he does a triple at 3xBW. Personally, both and he and I likely share the view that it'd be nice if his form was perfect, but no one ****ing cares. Is it enough to hurt him? Maybe. Is he ever gonna find out he has a hitch at near maximal loads without doing them, nah.
02-04-2010 , 02:51 AM
i contend nisora should be referred to as "she" even if it is a dude.

the fact we post under our 2p2 names may lead to a foru.m wa.r. Let's hope not.

I do remember this a while back. I thought it was irrelevant and trollish.

But now...

It was simply the natural order of being. There was a point when there would be less Gant (He of the original strengthcon ilk) and more Mike Hom (He of the dick tip/belt analogy). Ergo all the horrid things that accompany this.

thremp,
link to chaos and pain's high squats? It wouldn't surprise me at all. I avoided 70's big from the very start because I though it was going to be a pile of crap forum, based, I think, upon the strengthmill thread right when the site was going up. It sounds like I was right and I'm not even sure I want to visit that site and get involved.
02-04-2010 , 03:16 AM
Oh he's intentionally doing heavy partials. But refers to a 3 inch ROM as a "quarter squat".

Tbh, in my experience exactly this didn't happen. Too much hybrid. Esp. when they know rip in person and he's fond of them. Nothing'll change.

I had been semi-considering the idea of making a post on SS announcing the existence of 2+2's HnF and suggesting that in many ways it's a better forum.

Not really sure if this would accomplish anything or even what I would want to accomplish though. I guess getting the handful of quality posters in Rip's forum to occasionally post here would be nice. (Like KSC, JLascek, some of the random advanced powerlifters.)
02-04-2010 , 03:34 AM
Don't do it.
02-04-2010 , 03:37 AM
It would be a giant waste of time.
02-04-2010 , 03:38 AM
all you SS guys

which version of the book should I buy or do I need to buy both?
02-04-2010 , 03:42 AM
Both are useful, but I think 2nd is std. I have not read either.
02-04-2010 , 03:51 AM
2nd

In PP, he briefly references that there a some pretty major and important differences between the 1st and 2nd edition of SS (as opposed to PP where there are smaller differences).

2nd edition is what you want.

Okay folks. Here is a question. The milk I purchase at the store goes bad in a matter of femtoseconds. So it seems to be less pasteurized or maybe not at all? The cream is def not the delicious ultra pasteurized variant we have in the US. How can I find out if its homogenized or not? I want to assume it is, but by the time I get it from the store and let it sit long enough to separate, its already spoiled... wtf?!?

Should I just assume I joined the nubs who are all like "zomg raw milk is so good"... on accident?

If I had a webcam, I'd photograph the disgusted look I have from the last statement.
