Yesterday:
1.5 hours bjj

I hurt my pinky toe really bad last night. It was a bit of a scramble and it got bent backwards very badly. I didn't feel anything that makes me think it broke, but it looks gnarly and hurts a lot to walk on.

Toe is already feeling better so I guess it's not broken and that is . I'll probably skip BJJ tomorrow to give it a bit more time to heal but after that I'm just gonna tape it up and go.

Diet update: I'm eating almost entirely the same stuff as when I was logging, with the protein:fat ratio being a little higher now. Still very low carb. I've been sticking to 16-hour fasts but when I'm working out regularly my appetite is greater (even two days post-workout) and it's definitely harder now. I'm finding myself thinking about food a lot in the mornings before I break fast. I'm going to switch to a 14/10 schedule and see how that goes.

10lb med ball slams: 3 sets 20/20, HIIT

Switched to timed intervals for the slams. 20/20 was way too hard and I barely got through 3 sets. Gonna try 15/30 or something next time. I did the rows but I feel like I'm using mostly arm and not back muscles. I had this problem last time I was lifting too and it makes me dislike rows because I can't seem to "get it". Gonna watch some instructional vids and repeat that weight next time.

Down 30 pounds overall now. I've had finals the last couple weeks and haven't gone to the gym much. I went to BJJ this Tuesday and Wednesday and I'm going tomorrow morning. I went another ~2 times last week, don't remember exactly.

I tried doing 14/10 but I didn't really like it. I'm back to 16-18 hour fasts with the occasional 13 or 14 thrown in if I feel super hungry for some reason.

I'm done with school now for the summer so I have nothing going on besides my low-stress summer job and working out. After thinking about my training a bit and how I feel I decided that for the next 3-4 weeks I'm just going to go to BJJ on Mondays, Wednesdays, and Fridays and not do anything else. I'm getting destroyed by my BJJ sessions and don't feel like I can realistically fit in more right now. I really want to go 3x a week and I don't want to reduce the intensity of my sessions, so I'm putting lifting on the back burner. BJJ really motivates me to lift though so I'm definitely going to start adding some sessions in as soon as I feel like I can handle it.

My toe still hurts.

I've been failing on the 3x/week and only went 2x the last couple weeks. Feeling "tired" after work and deciding to stay home. I'm going to switch my Friday night session for Saturday morning. That should help.
