Yeah, I'm being super lazy at all facets of life right now. I definitely need to stick to a strict diet for the next few months and get into the gym on a consistent basis, just spinning my wheels at the moment and making zero progress at both cutting or getting stronger.

Saturday:

Today:

Press: 4x140, 3x5x115, 4x115, 5x115
Deadlift: 5x380, 2x5x315

Added some backoff sets after KC told me the dang thing. Ran out of time though so didn't get to do any on the bench and was planning on doing three deadlift sets, but only got two in before they closed. Just sort of winging it, doing those with a minute rest in between. Gassed a bit on the press, so the last set had a 1:30 rest period after getting only 4 reps for the fourth set. Also probably should have had another rep on my deadlift AMRAP set, but my grip failed, did a poor job chalking up

Today:

Bench: 4x190, 3x5x155, 2x4x155

All I had time for today, will get my squats in tomorrow. Gassed super, super, super hard on my backoff sets. First set was light as a feather, second set slowed down, three set had to grind out the fifth rep, took two minutes of rest instead of one before the last two sets and still couldn't get five. Quit after four on the fourth set, got pinned on the last set. So really need to keep doing this to build muscular endurance obviously

Horrible last couple of workouts. Form was really breaking down on both the deadlifts and the squats. Will redo both those weights and hope to bounce back next couple workouts. Press was also meh, did a couple push presses at the end of each set to hit 5

So I haven't lifted in a week and half or so. No excuses, I'm just the laziest. Haven't even been running or anything either, the only physical activity I've gotten is playing indoor soccer on Sunday and that barely counts since I'm the goalie. ****ing miserable game too, gave up a super soft goal and then like three goals where I challenged and won the initial through ball but cleared it right to one of their players to knock into an empty net, lost by one. Terrible. Anyways, given the slight layoff and the fact that my last sessions were terrible to boot, I took a bunch of weight off and reset.

Weighed in yesterday at 204.4 after popping all the way up to 210 with post-Thanksgiving bloat, under 200 by Christmas, for real this time.

So since it had been so long since I did these lifts and they sucked back then, I took a little weight off and reset. Felt pretty decent for barely lifting the last few weeks.

Bench felt pretty heavy after not doing it for a week, but only lost one rep. Deadlift felt very smooth, probably only was a 7 or 8 out of 10 on the last rep, could have probably ground out another one or two if I had to.

So I told myself I was going to be under 200 by Christmas: LOL. I told myself I was going to make sure to get to the gym three times a week: LOL. I was going to go for runs on my off days: LOL. Time to add a butnahhhhhhhhhhhhh to the title and then shoot for a (or maybe?) sometime in the future

So I’m back. Lifted today and once last week.

Last week:

Bench: 8x165
Squat: 8x225

Today:

Press: 7x125
Deadlift: 10x325

All right, new year, no bitching out. Lifting three days a week. Running the other three days, either outdoors once it gets out of the teens or hit the treadmill when it’s in the low teens or below. Get your diet in order starting today. Think I’m around 1,800 or so today. Weighed in at 209 this morning most holidays. Time to get it together, did real well last year for the first few months and then fell off the wagon, can’t let it happen again

Bench felt good, squat was ****. Didn't do any extra squat work because my brother's in town and he came with me and was already done with his workout, so I cut it a bit short. Weighed in at 207.2 this morning after boozing it up a bit last night. Was at around 1900 cals yesterday plus then five drinks, and am around 800 today with dinner to go

Didn't make it into the gym over the weekend, had an hour and a half blocked off and then couldn't find my keys, and then had other stuff going on by the time I found them. Anyways, made it in today, wasn't great. Weighed in at 205.6 this morning

Been sick the past few days so haven't made it in, but went today.

Bench: 9x172.5
Squat: 8x230

Much better day. Squat felt miles more solid, bench added a rep and 2.5 pounds also. Did some running afterwards too on the treadmill. Weighed in at 207.0 this morning. Diet's been OK, haven't really blown up much but a little over 2k a few of these days when I sick and didn't really feel like cooking anything decent

Felt decent, pretty much same as last time. Diet has been slacking a little, haven't weighed myself in a few days but probably about the same. Did 15 minutes on the treadmill afterwards until they closed.

Wtf. Did 8 and 9 last time in, don’t understand why I have such swongs, but these were legit grindy sets. Obviously I need to be more consistent getting to the gym, but still, that’s a huge drop. Will obv redo this weight next week

Couple days ago, never hit enter and this was still here when I went to look up my lifts for today:

Press: 5x132.5
Deadlift: 8x345

Press felt ****ty, deadlift felt good. Did four reps my first two sets of the press then finally hit five, but they were all super slow. Left a rep in the tank though on the deadlift

Much better than last time. Squat could have been better, last set wasn’t as solid as the first two, probably should have got more. But much better than last time

Weighed in 207.4 this morning I believe, and 208 right before going to bed just now

Felt decent. Had to split them up, went to the gym in the afternoon with my brother, but all the squat racks were being used and were set up in a way that I couldn't really work in, and then his workout was shorter than mine already, so I came back late after a soccer game and got my squats in. Did some backoff sets for the bench, nothing for the squat because I banged my knees up in goal and was feeling pretty sore, so I just did the worksets and called it a night

Press felt bad. Did triples for the first two sets, then was able to step it up to at least four. Will redo next time. Deadlift felt good, might have left a rep in the tank

Both felt pretty solid. First squat set felt super solid, was expecting to crush it, but the last set wasn’t nearly as good so I called it at 7 again.

Press felt pretty much the same as last time, going to have to reset. Deadlift was ok. Had to cut thing a little short due to time. Been doing better with eating, weighed in at 205.8 yesterday when I've been bouncing around the high 200s/low 210s during the last few weeks of January

Forgot to update this.

Yesterday:

Squat: 7x250
Bench: 6x182.5

Squat felt great the first set, but got worse from there. Last set was able to grind out 7, but nowhere close to as solid as the first set felt. Bench felt super heavy, was happy just to get six reps, it was a grind. No extra work since I went to the gym with my brother and he was already asking how much I had left when I was just finishing up my squats, so just did the work sets and left.

Pretty ****ty. Really grinded out the bench, then the squat felt just awful, slow and lots of back towards the end. Ended up only doing two sets, the second one sucked so bad. Will redo these weights and see if they won’t feel quite so terrible. I’d understand it if I was making progress on my cut, but after a poor weekend, weighed in at 207 and change today
