Today:

First time back from vacation. Reset the press, hit exactly the same as last time at 120. Pretty sure this is my first workout since my last one logged itt, but maybe I skipped logging one, don't know.

As far as vacation went, any proclamations itt that I was going to take it easy were confirned FAKE NEWS. My motto might as have well have been yes, I'll have another helping. Weighed in at 204 something on the Friday before I left, 206 the morning I left, and weighed in at 210.2 the past few mornings. Belt is definitely getting tighter, was on the verge of drilling a few new holes when I left, now it's back to being snug, albeit still on the last set of holes with ease. Not sure how I was using this same belt when I was 180, I would assume that it would be super loose at that weight now.

Also kicked my first two home runs ever last night playing kickball though, so maybe lots of cocktail hours and tons of dessert is optimal for fake sport performance

Today:

Squat: 7x225

Mixed day. Had been over two weeks since I my last bench/squat workout which wasn't impressive even then, so I decided to reset. Bench went well actually, only did 8 reps my last time at 165. Squat was completely opposite, no pop whatsoever and was definitely feeling some soreness in my left hamstring, lost two reps from last time at 225.

As for weight, was at 208.2 this morning. Haven't been crushing it but haven't been doing terrible calorie wise since I've been back, 2055 on Mon, 2130, 1660, 2050. Going to have to take it easy tonight, already at 1380 today thanks to stopping by McDonalds for lunch before the gym and being unable to resist their free fry Fridays.

Was an inch or two away from locking out a seventh deadlift rep, just could not lock it out.


Got all three workouts in in week for the first time in a while, go me. Also went for three or four runs this week, played a couple of kickball games, nine holes of golf yesterday, and I've got a soccer game in an hour and a half, so a good active week. Weighed in at a dehydrated 204 yesterday, 206.2 today, but looks like I've taken off most of my post-vacation bloat.

I really don't see the point of measuring my body fat. I can look in a mirror and see that I'm not anywhere close to having defined abs or anything, so wgaf whether I'm at 30% or 25%? I am still far from the point where I need loco's help kicking that last few percentage points of brain fat

Today:

Squat: 8x230
Bench: 9x170

Tried and failed a 10th bench rep. Squatted first since the benches were in use when I showed up, really feeling some weirdness along the left side of my groin/inner thigh area. Could not get into a good arch under the bar until I really stretched everything out and waited a few minutes for it to loosen up after squatting, just was too painful otherwise

Weighed in at 208.2 today after being 206 something for several days straight. Not sure why, went for a run yesterday and didn't eat much after having a bunch of days in a row around the 2400-2500 mark, got it down to 1810 yesterday. Sitting at 1215 today with dinner to go, will try and have something light

Screwed up the deadlift, should have been doing 385. I finished my seventh rep and set it down and felt like it was a super easy set of seven and probably left some in the tank considering I only did six last time, guess that explains why. Will do the correct weight next time. Weighed in at 205.2 today I think, somewhere in the 205s for sure

So have been out of the gym for a few weeks with a sprained ankle I got running over a female teammate of mine playing coed soccer two and a half weeks ago. Feeling mostly back to normal now, so decided it was time to get back in the gym. Been taping it up to play kickball, but that's about it since then. Wasn't going to let some 120 pound girl be the person to have me miss my first game due to injury ever. Anyways, took it nice and light today to get back into the swing of things

Oh yeah, weighed in at 204.2 today, been bouncing with a couple of pounds of this on either side. By this time next month I want to be consistently under 200 pounds, so around a five pound weight loss or so

First day back squatting after the ankle injury. Would like to say that I didn't squat over the weekend because I played some kickball and went for a run without it wrapped and it felt tender, but really I was just lazy. Bench felt good, squat felt slow and terrible. Probably had a rep or two in the tank if I really pushed it, but given that I haven't squatted in over three weeks and my ankle still isn't 100%, going to just ease back into it. Weighed in at 206 today, have to watch my cals more closely.

Much better day squatting. I wouldn't call them fast, but they were much smoother and under control than earlier in the week. Weighed in at 203.8 this morning iirc, 203 something anyways

Felt like the press should have been better. Tried and failed an eighth rep, not even close. Deadlift felt good though, very smooth and controlled on every rep. Forgot to weigh myself this morning, was 204 something right before I ate lunch, so probably would have been 203 something again with a normal morning weigh in prebreakfast

Better day. Grip started to fail on the deadlift, otherwise I might have been able to rep out 10. Have been eating fairly poorly the past few days, forgot to weigh myself this morning, so a post-lunch weigh in just now of 206.2

Lack of volume really showing up huge on the press, really slow and terrible. Deadlift keeps chugging along though. Also eating like ****, 206 this morning. Not going to hit my goal

****ty. Will not get all three sessions in this week, but my schedule frees up considerably next week, so no excuses from this point forward. Wouldn't be as mad about the lifting if I was making progress on the diet, but I've been doing terribly on that too. Anyways, no excuses from this point forward

Bench felt better. Even though I only got one more rep, they just felt faster. Squat was a disaster though. Only did 2x4 to start off, then dug down and grinded out a fifth rep for the last set. Will redo it next time, just felt super slow

Press was blah. Actually only hit four on my first set, but regrouped and hit five each of the next two. Deadlift finally felt like it was starting to slow, really had to grind the eighth. Think I'm switch to 5 pound jumps from here on

Diet has been nonexistent the last few weeks. Going to go full bore again tomorrow, need to get this weight off me. 180 I would pretty good, 170 I thought I looked super thin, but 205 right now is too high

Squat felt terrible. Grinded out a set of 5 the first set, but then just had absolutely zero pop the second set, called it at three both times because I knew my form would really break down if I kept pushing. Going to reset I guess. Weighed in at 204.8 right before I left tonight after hopping back on the diet train Monday

Hey, I actually lifted today.

Press: 5x135
Deadlift: 7x370

Hit five reps all three sets on the press, unlike last time. First and third sets were super slow, grindy fifth reps, second set was much quicker and probably had a sixth in me had that been the AMRAP set, but what are you going to do. Deadlift was iffy. Grip was failing me, possibly because I stabbed myself in the finger with a chisel over the weekend and couldn't really use my pointer finger on the left hand much, although it was the right hand that actually failed. Lower back tightened up a bit too during the warmup sets, so all things considered, cut it at seven rather than try any more.

Bought three bags of candy tonight, got zero trick or treaters. Same thing happened last year, lol me. So I've ate a couple thousand calories worth of candy tonight, diet's going great.

So, a couple of updates.

Last week:

Bench: 6x185
Squat: 7x225

Today:

Press: 5x137.5
Deadlift: 6x375

Might have been 5x185 on the bench last week, but think it was six. Reset the squat, went poorly. Today tried and failed one more rep for each exercise, got the press to forehead height and the deadlift to mid-thigh. Weighed in at 207.2 this morning, trying to get back on the diet this week. Been a rough couple of weeks, sleep schedule is all messed up and end up working late nights, so trying to get back in a routine starting tomorrow and stop working a couple hours in the afternoon and then after midnight, get back on that 9-5 grind and get to sleep before 4 AM
