Ordered a barbell a few weeks after the gyms shut down, finally got it last week. Weights cost a million dollars to ship though and obviously craigslist is wiped out, so went ahead and bought some concrete, started pouring some plates, and then made a couple of squat stands out of buckets and 2x4s and a cabinet out of plywood that screws into the wall and has a platform that folds out from the wall. Ended up clamping the squat stands to my workbench because they were way too unstable, but it’s a pretty solid setup for a one-bedroom apartment with limited space. Still need to make more plates over the next few days and slap some paint on it, but at least I beat the gyms reopening in upstate NY by a few weeks probably. Weird number because one plate weighed 35 pounds, one weighed 33, but that’s janky concrete plates I guess
