4226 kcals /// 288p/81f/546c
Tried to lift and felt too ****ty (specifically my hips and shoulders) so I stopped. Prob/definitely did too much on Monday, even though it was not much. Carb reload blah blah blah good or bad idk, but I do feel a lot better today (next day that is)... k.

Day 4:
April 13, 2017 at 07:04AM 248.78 lb 22.62 % scale bf
1666 kcals /// 241p/54f/37c
This was a little high on fat, because I had ground turkey for dinner and didn't realize it was ****ing 93/7 until I ate it. Tasted like a fat bomb... 93/7 ground turkey. Ha. Guntohead.gif

Day 5:
April 14, 2017 at 06:45AM 247.87 lb 21.84 % scale bf

Breakfast+lunch+EFA = 1101kcals/ 163p/34f/27c
(243kcals/27f from EFA every day, fwiw)

For dinner, my buddy and his wife are taking my wife and I out to celebrate at a "surprise" restaurant. He is a fellow fancy, so hoping for some rungood 2* or 3* action. Just lol at dieting instead of eating whatever I want at those places... I won't go crazy on wine or cocktails though. (Unless I do... FOMO + Uber ftw.) k.

Spots like that I will go super light for lunch and then two dimes of kcals for dinner.
And I am super tinybro. You might have to crush 3 dimes worth.

Dieting is for when you are alone, basically. And that's why it's so disturbing that the uberfats just go absolutely batshiet crazy solo in their car with their mcmuffins and donuts. That's when you supposed to be cracking cans of tuna and spinach. I have had many a lunch driving to the casino on beef jerky and white rockstars. Nobody is watching and I like that shiet.

Yup. My worst calorie days are the ones when I'm obligated to do **** with other people in the world.

At the same time it's awesome, though. Everybody thinks I eat like a pig but weigh 160. So inevitably fast metabolism comments rise. Lol. When I met up with KC I was ordering the whole menu. With saw/bixby the same. And with fakeb all you can eat buffet. And with Cha, steak and beer. Good times. But citanul thinks I eat like a bird. Sure, when I am alone.

That place you found for us to eat at was great. I thought you ate about what a 165 lb guy who lifts a little should eat when he goes out.

loco for that meal I estimated 2400 kcals, half of it wine.

Re: Fri. cheat meal: I've written a TR for this place (Oriole) before I think, but the meal was totally different aside from (I think) the repeat dishes of a5 miyazaki wagyu and truffle risotto. Now they have reserve wine pairings.... I drank really a lot of wine. Everything about the place is amazing.

It's my favorite place.

You drank 10+ glasses of wine at dinner?

I don't think that's possible bro. I mean it's possible but that's kinda weaselian.

In other news, this diet is dumb as hell and I am dumb for doing it. If only Soulman and Thremp had told me so!

I feel like if both Soulman and Thremp have the same message about something, it's pretty likely to be true. Ah, well; such is the price of marital bliss, it seems.

Considering your marital history I would say that while this diet is dumb in isolation, in context it seems fine. I'd just cheat more (unless wife is tracking stuff along with you, then obv don't).

This is the guy who was threatening to out drink weasel... but 10 glasses of wine is out of control and impossible? Just facking lol.

I mean, unless American wine glasses are those big gulp 7/11 cups? Which I guess wouldn't totally surprise me...

Its 2.5 bottles of wine using non-stingy pours. (2 bottle when stingy, lol at some tasting menu thimble of wine being a "glass" tho)

Seems unlikely he drank that much, but certainly not impossible.
DT's Permanent Crossfit Log: lifting all the weight Quote
04-18-2017 , 08:42 AM
Typically there are considered to be 4-5 "glasses of wine" in a bottle, depending on where you go (so 5-6 oz per pour).

2 bottles of wine for DT doesn't really seem unreasonable or impossible given I'm assuming there were pre-dinner drinks and (potentially) wine pairings with each course if this was a full chef's tasting fancy lad 8 course deal.
DT's Permanent Crossfit Log: lifting all the weight Quote
04-18-2017 , 08:52 AM
Heavier pours at tasting menus are probably a bottle over the entire menu? I've been at some where I'd be shocked if I ended up with 2/3rd. But that place is a dismal and dark ****hole that I won't return to.

I dunno. I'm basing this purely on my drunkenness. Then again I've gone to some places that stuck us in a wine cellar while we waited for a table (waiting list!) and that probably led to 2+ bottle over a 4ish hour span.

Maybe we could get some more specifics to neckbeard more thoroughly about this.
DT's Permanent Crossfit Log: lifting all the weight Quote
04-18-2017 , 09:06 AM
Once again the log clearly needs renaming.

I've been anywhere from slightly buzzed to completely hammered after fancy lad tasting menus, wouldn't put 2-2.5 bottles outside of the realm of possibility.

This is important business.

Three cocktails before... two on the way there as we were early and dropped by my fav (1* fwiw) spot for a cocktail and canapes on the way there, then they give you one as you walk in the door, then constant wine forever and ever and ever. It was my friends' ****ing fifth time there (which is both awesome and also dumb considering it's been open I think less than a year) so the sommelier visited more often than he would otherwise, I'd guess - to impress the fancies and talk about wine. Idk what I had, I'll dig up the menu. I would guess an average of 1-1.5(?) 4oz(?) pours of 8-10(?) wines. I didn't pour. I just lol'd and drank, as is my wont. I just looked up, the reserve wine pairing is $250/person... so yeah. They give you a lot of good wine. k.

I felt bad and next time I'd drink less. Counterpoint: it tasted good and next time I'd drink more. So is life.

ETA: I just round high for diet numbers... also, it literally matters zero for this diet other than yeah it was a bit overboard, but an atypical situation, a celebration. lol @ discerning the amount of wine from the numbers.

@Soulman à ta santé

Diet... feel v bad, so I'll very likely earlier-than-planned refeed tonight and have an extra cheat meal (nothing crazy) on Thursday night. Or maybe just quit, idk. I do not recommend that anyone does any version of this diet.

Lol nits. Clearly have never gone on a fancy night of drinking. Seems pretty standard, considering we're probably talking about ~2 hours of cocktailing and 2.5-3 hours of dining. For you non-wine people 2.5 bottles of wine is about 5.25 fancy stouts. You telling me you legitimately doubt that a 250 pound monster of a man (even if slightly out of peak drinking shape) can drink that much in 5-6 hours? I feel bad for you. Sorry your beverage consumption has been reduced to protein shakes and a well calorically budgeted, every third week double IPA but only at the right time of day for carbs. Sad.

DT, super jealous about Oriole. Have not been, will likely go for anniversary this summer. Your #1 pre-fancy dinner cocktail place is my #1 pre-fancy dinner cocktail place! My go-to "waiting for a table at Avec" drinking place too.

I thought the question was more around getting hammered at fancy dinner with new wife. And/or the amount of wine they were pouring. Not whether it was possible. How long is it at Oriole? I think the longest I've ever been through was 5hr with one other person. Tho guesstimates for a group of 5 across from us were closer to 7 hours.

loco may or may not be doing loco tho.
