cha,
Thanks for the feedback. The reason I'm not using stretch reflex in those videos is because I am focusing on keeping my knees out which I find easier to do when I go down slower. It's definitely not the most efficient way to squat, but when I was going down fast and using the stretch reflex, my knees weren't pushed out all the way and I definitely felt some residual left knee pain. Same thing with the toes. It actually feels easier to squat more weight with the toes a bit more forward, but it affects my knees going out. I'm trying to get this sorted out. It's embarrassing that I first started squatting around 5 years ago and I still have form problems.
The deadlift video is a complete mess. My hips rise early and I didn't even realize I was finishing with my back until I looked at that video. I don't know how I started doing that because the last deadlift video I took 6 months ago and every deadlift video before that never had garbage in it. I laughed when I saw it because I look like such a typical gym bro at the top of the lift.
I actually pulled something in my stomach when I was deadlifting so I took a few days off.
22 OCT:
High bar back squat:
3x220
1x264
5x5x289
this wasn't too hard. I tried to warm up with low bar but my hip flexors were so tight I just said screw it and went with high bar. Definitely used the stretch reflex here. I have not done high bar in quite a while but it felt pretty good.
Press:
5x5x170
Pull-ups:
5xbw
2x5x45
2x3x45
rope climb:
2x1
I figure if I'm in the Army I should get good at climbing ropes just for the sake of it.
left leg front step ups:
