Also I stepped on a scale last night. 162, so looks like making weight should be no issue.

6-8

Bench- 45x10x3, 95x5, 135x5, 165x3
Paused Bench- 195x1, 215x1, 235x1 (WR)
Deadlift- 154x3, 242x3, 309x2, 375x1, 419xF, 353x"5"

Lifted with KidColin. It was nice to get a decent handoff. My left triceps felt like crap all day even after icing 4 times yesterday. Maybe I got a bit aggressive with the SMR today at my desk. Played the bench by ear and 215 felt ok enough for me to try 235. My sticking point wasn't no thang but lockout was a bit tough with the bad triceps. I'm gonna try to touch and go 245 sometime early next week.

Deadlift was a disappointment. I haven't pulled heavy in awhile so I guess I shouldn't be too surprised to miss 190kgs. Got it pretty high off the floor but let it drift forward. KC says I need to use my lats more, probably true since I don't use them at all. At least my sticking point seems to be a bit higher now. New goal for the meet is just to make 190kgs.

Ok comeon, you're in the same group obv. I'm talking about most people that can't wait to help me through a sticking point or tell me to do another rep.

6-11

Bench- 45x10x2, 135x5, 165x3, 190x2, 205x1x3 (paused)
T bar row- Barx5, 25x5, 50x5, 75x5x2, 50x12
Hang Powercleans- up to 135
Reverse Hypers- 12x3
Leg Raises- 12x3
TRX Rows- 12x3
KB Swings- 4p (2 in each hand) x5x3
TRX Pikes- 10x3

Kept it easy. Just wanted to get some work in.

6-14

Squat- 45x5x2, 135x5, 185x4, 225x3, 275x2, 315x1, 335x4
Dynamic Bench- 45x10x2, 95x3, 115x3, 135x2x5 (on the minute)
Cable Row- 2 sets of 10

Messed up my first rep of squats at 335, otherwise this would've been a somewhat easy 5. All reps were slow, but not near failing. Lacrosse balled my T spine and shoulder blades and I think I've got some work to do up there. Final lift before the meet will be Thursday: heavy bench and recovery squat.

Nice work.

A little off topic, but if you need SF rec's lemme know. I replied in the EDF thread, but always happy to help out if you have specific Q's.

Thanks. Will definitely be going to Ad Hoc and Morimoto's (I probably would've missed those), as well as the CIA restaurant and Cindy's Backstreet Kitchen in the Napa area. I'm much more familiar with the Napa to Calistoga stretch than I am with SF. I'll probably PM you for more SF recommendations in August as I hammer down the itinerary.

Are you from the SF area?

Yeah - born and raised in SF with some time in Oakland. Lived in SF for 9 of the last 11 years. Wow - seems so long when I put it in writing. But yeah - live here now man, so any questions - feel free to pm me.

go to Tommy's Joynt, corner of Van Ness and Geary. If you like corn beef and cabbage a lot, get that, otherwise I recommend the brisket, pastrami, or lamb shanks if those are available.

Doug,

do you like sushi? If so, I very highly recommend Kiss. Very small restaurant, get reservations early. If you like sushi, worth the trip no matter where in the city you're staying.

http://hungryhedonist.blogspot.com/2...s-seafood.html for a review. Can't remember the name, but get one of the more expensive sakes if you go. So infinitely better than the more common sake which is served warm.

Think we paid around $130 (+/- 20, not entirely sure) per person for the most exclusive tasting menu + lots of uber sake.

6-16

Bench- 45x10x2, 95x3, 135x3, 165x2, 195x1, 225x1, 245xf (verrrry close)
Squat- 45x5x3, 135x5, 185x4, 225x3, 255x1, 275x5x2
10 Second Squat Unracks- 315, 365, 415, 465

Final meet prep lift with KC. Had a head cold the last 2 days. Gonna blame the bench fail on that, plus the lack of amphetamines in my system. Never done squat unracks before, but they seemed useful. 465 was not terribly heavy, so hopefully 365 will feel light on Sunday.

As of now I'm hoping to go:
Squat: 342, 364, 375
Bench: 215, 231, 242
Deadlift: 397, 419, 430

So a perfect day would get me 1047, but I'll be happy with anything over 1000.

I'll take my flip video camera. Biggest issue will probably be that it doesn't have zoom, and I'm not sure how close you can get to the lifters. But we'll try.
