Short update.

Life happened for a while, trying to muster a comeback.

I didn't lift at nationals and I didn't make the national team. However my girlfriend did, with a 150 kg bench :-)

I did bench 260 kg at a meet, but was redlighted 2-1.

Also I forgot to train and eat for a while, so lost about 15 lbs

Yeah, even have a bench only meet in 2 weeks, just to get a number in.

I did 5x3x185, missed 1x212,5 in my normal competion shirt (46 Scoop) 10 days ago, then 3 days ago I did 1x240 very easy in a now 46 non-scoop, I was a bit surprised. Me raw bench is about 15-20 kg from my best, but I seem to get stronger pretty fast.

Have been following a lifting program for about 2 weeks, before that was very random, I think I went 1 full month without getting to the gym once.

Also got a setup so I can bench in my living room now.

Overall very happy, didn't train or eat most of December. Training been a mess since September

Butt, same judge red lighted both. He didn't like my lockout either. Asked him after.

Both could have been red lighted for heels of the floor too.

If I were you, I would work on a new setup. If you set up well, there will be no way for your butt to come off the bench or your heels to come off the floor. Part of the new setup should be getting into a good, right position and letting the handoff person/people lift the weight and bring it to you in a good starting position. Your current setup is limiting you.
