26-82.1 (old scale, final time: 81.5kg)
I have now literally put my old mechanical scale in a plastic bag at the front door, in a few hours carrying it out to the metal recycling, for it to blend in with new products. I have a "survival streak", so thought about saving it for possible bad times. But will use a tape measure in that case, waist is now back to 97cm.
The main reason I kept the old scale was for backup, checking possible weird readings on my new scale, but haven't used it, just believing in and marking the readings. And the backup can be at the gym: was 82.0kg there last weekend with full gym clothing, too little I think, but usually the same scale is consistent. One of the shortcomings of the old scale was you had to have really good light to see the readings, where were those lines aligned? And when you bended forward to see better the reading could change because you stood differently. But thanks anyway, old scale, and a good after! You were "the it" for my initial two months, not to forget the other attempts to follow the weight during the years.
Anyhow I have a gut feeling (of course no pun intended) I'll take this slowly to 80kg=176lbs now. Starting a bit above 88kg (which my new scale would have showed) I could then say: took it from around 88 to 80. Hand on the heart: 82.5kg as a final goal weight is a bit weird. With 80kg my BMI would be 22(.2), maybe dare to say kind of ideal.
Maybe because the type of clothing I'm wearing somebody said I could as well weigh 10kg more without anybody noticing it, but will have to go with the occasional glances in the mirror when half naked
